well its you that said the updates are coming from the club/manager, and one would assume they are getting those updates from the medical department - so they're either lieing, or the medical team are inept. one or the other.

 

so where is Parker getting the update from? he';s asking the question, who's answering it and telling us he's close to a return every week?

Wright has been available apart from 2 weeks when he was injured. Riley has been available also.

Really don't get this bitterness towards Wright and Riley. All Hopkins fault as he's a poor man manager. We're bottom of the league and they've hardly played. O'Connor, NKP etc have nearly played every game.. use their names instead!

the bitterness towards Wright is when he did play he was amongst the least mobile and least commited in the team - and that is a very low level!

 

Player gets assessed say on Monday - feels ok in light training.
More work Tuesday - feels ok bit more work
Manager speaks with medical team and gives interview Tuesday - Scannells ok may be fit to join squad next week
Player trains Wed - more fitness work, small bit of ball work
Player comes in Thursday - slight twinge in his back, told to rest up
Manager gives interview - Scannell not fit still.

I know but the answer isn't bringing back someone who showed LESS fight and effort than the players that replaced him.

 

The Scannell and Reeves situation needs fully addressing.

These are 3 players that could easily of been 1st teamers for us.

Depending on the Robbo outcome these players I would be looking to move on straight away.

But to blame him and be bitter towards him isn't.

Playing under Collins and Hopkin I am not convinced any of our players put 100% effect in and that's the problem.

We can't blame players that hardly played for us as to why we find ourselves in this situation.

He deserves a second chance and he is contracted for another 2 seasons so we all might as well see how he gets on in div 2.

I'm not trying to defend him as I'm frustrated as any city fan but I also realise that as he steps up his fitness he is going to get knocks on the way from such an injury.

Tbh they should just right him off for the season and that stops any repeated questions about his fitness.

 

Looks like we will have to pay these 3 off mate.

This is what I am saying we've 16 players under contract for next season and we can't afford to pay them all off but these 3(depending on the Robbo outcome) need to go.

Realistically, from 16 I think we can get it down to 10 but a lot of players here now will be here next season but we go again and give everyone another chance. It's all we can do.

 

from what I can remember it was only maybe 1 or 2 games that was highlighted - some of these bottlers have played in 20-30 games this season.
