Yeah what a stupid idea bringing someone in who's had success under similar circumstances, instead let's have a look at someone who's had three season in management.

2014 - 11th place in Finland's Premier League.
2015-2016 - 2nd in the second tear of Finland.
2017 - 7th in Finlands Premier League.

How can you disregard Bowyer then put forward Shefki Kuqi?

Let’s face it anybody who comes to manage this club will either be a Rookie or had failures in the past. That’s where we are at the moment. Bowyer did a great job at a good club on hard times and looks like a good candidate to me

 

What I'm saying Fordy is you can't moan at Bradford City wanting Bowyer then say nothing against Kuqi getting an interview it's bizarre mate, of all the thing you moan at that is worth a whinge.

I'm quite sure Bowyers wins % is pretty high in comparison to some of the other candidates we've heard about. I'm interested to hear what your criteria for our next manager is?

As I explained Bradford City fell into a trip of just getting a manager in. Bit like Everton and Utd until now. You need a manager that has a style of play and a vision like Ole has at Utd hence the improvement in the team.

It's all about the interview for me not the past. Don't care. I don't really look at CV's when recruiting as they're bollocks- what can you do for me? What do you bring to the table. I believe in second chances and the past is the past - I move on very quickly!

I appreciate what you are saying Fordy and your thinking is fine but this is how people like Michael Collins get to a level they're not ready for, no previous experience most of the time and get found out pretty quickly.

Sorry it's the same old stuff regurgitated you'd think @Fordy117 is the only fan who's hurting.
He comments (I would seriously consider a Stephen Warnock, a Gary Jones. A Fowler, A Kewell e.g. An ex player because the board need telling now) that is the biggest gamble ever, its possibly second only to the Rahic decision to appoint Collins.

Apart from Kewell the rest havent been in any managerial position, I'm not sure what they would offer.
The next managment appointment doesn't have to be on a long term contract, if the applicants are wanting to try and get us out of trouble they have to understand they will be judged on how they perform and will then (if sucsessful) be offered a longer contract.

 

In fairness though, you thought Russell Slade would be a good appointment.

 

The Michae Collins was the most bizarre managerial appointment i’ve ever seen to a point where the guy had never even applied for the job. I’m not advocating kuqi for the job but at least he has experience of football management and seems to have a team of people around him. I’m with you, i’d like to see Gary Bowyer get a crack at it, has good experience, seems a level headed guy and isn’t a manager who has been around the block many times.

 

As did many more at the time of his announcment, many we're saying they didn't like the appointment but would give the guy a chance, that lasted 6 games ?.

 

I did and he has had successes especially in his early career

 

Yeah, I did because he has no network, no links, nothing in the game.

Kewell, Fowler, Jones, Warnock etc all do. Automatic respect from the players.

 

Its fine to appoint a Warnock, Jones, Fowler type and I'm all for progression. I just don't think these are the right circumstances.
