I've got some friends who are Bolton fans and I often look at the Bolton News website. The abuse PP gets on there is unbelievable. The almost universal view is that he's the worst manager they've ever had, and this despite having relative success in difficult circumstances. He's seen in much the same way as Rahic was here and thousands are boycotting the club as a result of his tactics and style of play. Their odious owner has a lot to do with it too but there is no doubt that the fans would want any new owner to sack him immediately.
Personally, I was bored witless 95% of the time he was here and why anyone would want him back is beyond me.

 

They were there with the rest of the squad that I could see, Wood is still not fit but certainly Wright, Riley and Patrick were there, then Scannell on the pitch next to the public car park with someone else I couldn't make out, so it looks very much to me that Drury has said fresh start you perform for a starting place.

revisionism, the club wouldnt have been in the strong position it was without him. look at where we were when he joined to where we were when he left. quite the difference in scrapping for survival in league two to knocking on the door of the championship. he also brought in arguably the most relateable set of players in the clubs history, building a bond with fans that todays idiots could only dream of. And contrary to popular belief, they could also play a bit when required.
