Where is info on the investigation of the indecency?

 

Parkinson is the only appointment that would have me rushing back down to get a season ticket for next year. Not going to happen though, he's carried on his progression and only sentiment mat bring him back.

Other that that.....meh. a bunch of retread failures and speculative newbies. Does it really matter who we get?

And to add to that, Bolton have announced that players and coaching staff will be paid late again this month.

If people want Parky it could be a good time to see how serious he is on it

 

I think it will be well above that figure, then we start again next season and as some have said if we're in league two there will be a big drop off in season ticket sales.
As a club we need to get every ounce out of the players for these last 12 or so games, and us fans need to play our part, and attend and support the 11 on the field and Drury too until a new manager is appointed.

 

Quite right Dennis, the FA Hearing and the outcome/ punishment was reported fully. At the time of the hearing Evans had become Manager at Rotherham. I was not involved in making the complaint but I was involved in overseeing the witnesses from the Club who the FA called to give evidence. In my role at the Hearing I simply aided the Q.C. who was in house from the FA.
I think the outcome was as good as it could have been.

Keep on saying that at every club like in any job someone will always want to take on a job.

Bradford City is a great club with history, excellent fan base and one of the biggest clubs in Div 1 and would be the biggest in div 2 if we unfortunately go down.

The new manager has to be able to bring in his own staff straight away even it's it's a short term deal.

 

Absolutely not @Fordy117 . Leaving aside his past crimes, disgraceful behaviours and acrimonious history with our club, he is clearly not the right footballing man for the job at hand.

Evans likes to bring in his own choice of players - he won't have that option. He is a disciplinarian and a bully. That style may work with some players, particularly those whom he has brought to the club and who therefore owe him something. It's highly unlikely to work with a squad of loanees (who won't be here next season) or those on long contracts (who can pocket their wages whether or not they are playing first team football).

Our only chance of staying up is to appoint someone who'll organise, inspire and motivate the players and keep the fans onside. We need to create a bandwagon effect, and fast. A man with a substantial track record of creating discord and resentment in dressing rooms and on the terraces is the very last thing we need right now.

 

I think Bantam Pete applied last time so don't be thinking they are all genuine.

 

Parkinson is a shoe in if we offer him a 3 year deal, Bolton will not stand in his way plus they cannot afford to pay most of the staff anyway.
Although not his biggest fan he does come with some attractions in that if any one could keep us up it would probably be him with his no nonsense style, Plus he would boost the sale of season tickets as most fans would give him the chance even if relegated given he could hopefully get us back up

 

I'd rather have Bantam Pete than Steve Evans.

Hopefully the club are aware that the current state of the Steve Evans poll on here shows 72% against. With many season tickets still unbought that's a significant statistic.

 

Unfortunately on Twitter it is the exact opposite. I despair at what ppl see in Evans.

 

Sorry but Bradford City can't have fans running the club.

We sign players from L**ds and I don't like it but if the interview process is done correctly and the board feel he is the right man for the job then as fans we back the board.

 

I can’t see Bradford going for Evans purely on football matters, he’s failed acrimoniously at his last two clubs and there are better candidates around looking for a management role. I personally wouldn’t rush for an appointment, we need to look at what we are as a club right now, the finances and possible relegation and take this on board when appointing. I don’t think anyone can turn this season around, theres no light at the end of this seasons tunnel. Lets face it, McCall, Grayson, Collins (lol) and lastly Hopkin, not one of them could stop us hitting the buffers.

 

Totally agree. Regardless of what us fans think the offer to manage at a (hopefully) league 1 side infront of 12,000-15,000(ish) fans every home game, a very healthy away support with one of the biggest budgets and training facilities better than most in the league is still an extremely attractive job.

 

That says it all @Onside, I don't do twiter but read some of the stuff on twiitter and many times it's a matter who can be the most outrageous.
I would think Evans has thrown his hat into the ring but I very much doubt it would be seriously considered.
