I think there's a bit too much neurosis about the debt. It's not unmanageable if Rupp want's to manage it. Also, he's not done anything to indicate he's backing out or losing faith

I simply think if we go down - he'll reset us, but give decent funds and hope we react like MK Dons and Bury are (currently)

Lots of other clubs have more debt than us. A few seasons ago, it was a miracle if anyone was in the black - I remember that well run club Burnley, been the only one in The Championship ones season

It's only a debt of seriousness if Rupp decides he'll no longer fund and he's given no indication that he's doing that

Where was his money in January? If he cares that much he would of paid off the wood, clearing wages up for some proper professionals. It would of cost in the short term, but no where near the financial loss we will be set to have if... WHEN... we are relegated

What about Keith Hill? Always liked his football when we play Rochdale and does a decent job with a very mediocre budget and squad.

Would be good but won't leave Rochdale

The way they've defended this season I'd see us getting absolutely annihilated under Hill.

    I'm not so confident.

JR suggested we are running a defecit of close to £2m for this season. I think @Dennis@Dennis suggested our revenue for the year is in the region of £5m, so this sh1tshow of a season has cost upwards of £6m.

We could save money on loans next season, but that would weaken our first team significantly. I would speculate we are looking at another £2m loss at least next season, as we have very few contracts coming to an end. I don't think we can underestimate the difficulty of the current financial situation for the club.

A lot will depend on whether our "Fans" back us in decent numbers and buy season tickets

The sole aim is staying up, forget about long term plans. To that end we need someone Parky-esque who can quickly build a solid defensive structure to the team, motivate and put a rocket up the players when required. And have experience of a relegation scrap. We are skint so that probably rules the likes of Parky and Flynn out. My choice - and this would not be popular I know - would be Gary Megson until the end of the season. It wouldn't be pretty by a long way, but I think we would stay up.

Then in the summer think long term.

Yes. Of course we'd slide backwards - but then it's up to the owners to stand the debt. Lots do. It of course comes down to how much owners want to plough in and hope eventually to get back, i.e. I would assume someone like Luton had to do this.

It's a big problem is where running it!! But if we're Steve Lansdown, the Bristol City owner - who in 2015 casually wrote off in excess of £30m, it's not a problem. Clearly, Winkelman will be doing the same for MK Dons. It's a matter of how comfortable they are with the debt, as opposed to the size

I think we are nervous, as we fear that Rupp will bail at the first time of trouble. I think he'll do what he needs to do and nothing he's said so far has contradicted that

Horrible as it sounds, it is feasible to get relegated, survive and come back. We did it before, but we don't want it to take six seasons this time (if it happens)

No we're not, Rupp has covered the debt run up by Rahic on the proviso Rhodes got the finances back to being balanced. In my own opinion he didn't spend in January because he is selling the club, once our league position is known for next season I think we will see this confirmed.

Debt is manageable if you have someone willing to underwrite it. We have no idea what Rupps personal feelings are regarding this but he’s now realising this football ownership lark can quite quickly snowball into a bottomless pit. Do we really think he’s gonna keep bankrolling a loss making business?

How about we give a fan a game to be in charge of until the end of the season. Collins had more than one game. Drury is getting his at Pompey. @Fordy117@Fordy117 you can have Luton. Who wants Peterborough?

I know he's not a fan but I'd let Evans in to manage that one. He can have his moment of glory then feck off.

Could you imagine if we managed to fluke a draw with Luton - the Twitter clamour for Fordy to get the job full time would be immense.
