When do we start to question Hopkin?

I cannot stress how important the Flexicard is for tempting others back for City football-
As i read it(and i might have it wrong), instead of paying £169 for a season ticket i can pay £150 and also get a Flexicard in my name/debt and anyone can choose to use it for a game, doesn't have to be the seat next to me on even in the same aisle(although that helps) but for £200 outlay for next season i have increased the seats.
Just need to beg/plead/co-erce one of my lads or some other poor sod to come and see.
This will go a little way to off-set those kids/teenagers/parents fed up and off.

Rhodes and co need to really push the Flexicard and its uses imo.

 

Well let us see what happens shall we? I don’t make excuses for failure, I try and find solutions but in order to do that you need to source what are the problems. I suppose I could stamp my feet and cry, but I am not a child. Clearly something has hindered DH in the recruitment otherwise we would have the players that he identified.

I've never had an issue with flexi's ticket holders the vast majority have a very good reason why they don't/can't attend every game and some income is far better than no income.

 

Sack him, then what? Getting rid of Hopkin as some have suggested would be suicidal. Club needs stability, not more upheaval. It wouldn’t be just him either, his whole team would go. And to judge him on one transfer window is bad enough but it was January, when rarely do clubs get what they want, unless you are a money bags. Circumstances changed on most of the players identified in December, Caddis the exception. The ambition should be 20th this season, anything above is a bonus. If we stay up, write the season off and let him start over.

Give him the summer to create a team and to balance the squad out. You can’t do that in January.

 

David Hopkin came in after 7 games leaving himself 39 league games + FA Cup games to sort our season out, we thought he had up to the Barnsley game, now we see ourselves struggling to beat teams we would have put to the sword during that exciting time.
Sorry if in 40 games he can't keep us in league one blaming our January transfer dealings doesn't cut it for me.

 

If we don't make 20th position it's Hopkin all the way for me in league 2. My god people have short memories. We are where we are because we had a despot in charge making crazy decisions and making a rite pigs ear of things. We were a shambles. The idea that anyone could come in, wave a magic wand and suddenly everything's alright again is delusional. It's going to take a long time. Hopkin's come in and has started us back down the right road. Taking it step by step. No he didn't rush out and get a number 2 - he waited for the right one to become available and got him. Yes he could have signed wingers and forwards in Jan but clearly circumstances weren't right for him to make a move then. I trust his judgment. God knows we've got plenty of players on our books that we shouldn't have signed - why make the same mistakes over and over? I think he's done a remarkable job to still have us in touch we every chance of avoiding the drop. Personally I think we will stay up but if we don't I think it will be a huge mistake getting rid of Hopkin. Hopkin's not the problem he's the solution.

 

I'd agree with you if his tactics weren't so utterly dreadful.
