    But lowering them does?

Aldi and Lidl have increased prices.

i wonder if those that used to sit a couple of rows me will be enticed back.. i look forward to the days of hearing all about the latest escapes of the residents of coronation street and emmerdale again. plus the kids updating all of those within earshot of the latest premier league scores or whatever level of their handheld devices they've brought with them they're on for for 90mins every other week.

How would it be "It's perfect timing to increase prices" we are in one of the worst seasons we have had for many a year, we are still not out of the woods, the talk is Stefan will have put a further 1.5 to 2 million into the club to try and get it back on an even keel.
The situation under Julian & Mark was far from great but we as fans knew the situation, we have a Cup run or we sell an asset, financially Stefan could buy and sell our last custodians, that's why they sold the club to these two originally, but we didn't perform badly under Julian & Mark with Phil Parkinson improving our clubs status each year he was at the club.
I would suggest after what we have been through this season it would be sheer lunacy to increase season tickets by any amount next season.

Who gives a damn what they do as long as they are putting money into the club, could sit there stark bollock naked for all i care. The more in the ground the merrier.

£150 is an excellent price, and I reckon it's down to us partly as fans to make sure the club's offer is taken up by more people than ever.

This is Bradford, our post code has a tremendous reach and population, you'd think we could shift 25,000 tickets for £150.

Absolutely spot on by the club.
Great prices and another piece of the "we have got our city back" jigsaw.
Stefan Rupp deserves great credit for doing this , especially after pumping more of his own money into the club. It would have been easy to up prices to try to increase revenue but that would have been a risky move.
Advertising revenue is based on eyes in the ground so more eyes the higher the leverage for the club.

I think as fans if we can beat last seasons take up we have done well, I'm sure many are not happy that these two, yes I have to include Stefan have taken our club back 4/5 years, next season if we stay in league one will be all about damage limitation and Dave Hopkin getting us around mid table, I was hoping Stefan might have dug a little deeper into his pockets but fair do's to him for shoring the club up for the immediate future.

I think the price point is simply a recognition that they know there’s no way they could increase prices after the last 12 months. On that basis I don’t think there is any other option.

Slightly longer term, I wouldn’t want to price anyone out either. I just think we over state the issue. I appreciate that money’s tight for some - I’d just be very surprised if anyone (I.e. many) able to pay 150 quid for 9 months of football don’t have the means to pay 200, or 230 quid. For those really up against it, a season ticket won’t be on the agenda at all.

And at the end of the day, we’re not a charity. We need to strike a balance between affordability and being competitve.

we didn’t shift 25,000 when they were £149 and doing relatively well - we’re not getting 25,000 now.

those i attend with have often discussed just whether or not there’s an appetite for professional sport (apart from the 8000 or so that will renew no matter what) in bradford considering the size of the district.

personally, i don’t think there is. when city struggle the crowds go down, when the bulls struggle their crowds go down. compare that to other clubs (arguably some bigger than ourselves) from cities of a similar size who maintain two clubs and the contrast is massive.

If we were any good, we would. A lack of quality is the biggest issue.

Build a team pushing properly for the top 2, and valley parade would be close to full most weeks. The majority of that 25k will be motivated more by the level of quality and enjoyment on offer than the idea of ‘it might be crap but at least its cheap’. You can’t kee turning out the likes of Brunker, Chicksen, Wright etc and expect people to lap it up in their masses.

Other teams have tradition on their side.for the most part we have been an unsuccessful side many Bradfordians now follow other sides and so do their families.we need to hope people who bought into our cheap tickets will become fans for life and their families follow

Our past football history has not been great, you have the likes of Burnley, Blackburn, Bolton, Portsmouth, Leeds have all had success compared to us, I agree if we were paying the going rate we would be down to 8/10,000 hard core fans.
We heard Edin say when they bought the club they wanted to continue in the same vain the club was run before, I believe if that had been the case (and yes you can't guarantee success) they would have increased ticket prices as we progressed, very difficult after the season we've just had to raise prices.

We won't be reducing season ticket prices and paying off 2m then being and to build a decent team mate.

The size of the district and the population has never made a difference to the clamour for spectator sports in Bradford. Our geographical location has always meant that other sporting clubs have been within easy reach (Keighley side you have Burnley and and the lure of Manchester. The other way you have the glowing lights of Leeds and their successes over the decades. The changing demographic of Bradford hasn't brought an influx of new support to the club, if anything it has had the opposite effect. Unless you tap into the Asian and Eastern European communities of this city, 25,000 crowds will be nothing but a pipe dream in the future.
Not sure what the long term future hold for the club.

when are people going to realise that 99% of the time you get what you pay for. clubs like accrington are few and far between unless bankrolled.

yet there’ll be the same people in the summer wondering why we’re missing out on players to other clubs whilst popping into tesco at the top of valley parade rather than spend money in the ground.

i’d hazard a guess at less than 30% of those who attend spend any money in the stadium, and less than 50% buy any club merchandise. yet they’ll expect promotion for their £150 investment.

hence why i don’t believe there’s a massive appetite for pro sport in the city. some people need to re-evaluate their expectations.

It was made clear that the club thought it would take 2-3 years to undo all the wrongs of the Rahic disaster.

We need to get back on some form of sensible financial footing, while reconnecting with the fan base.

The Summer will be all about Hopkin bringing in the right players on the right contracts, we won't be competing with bank-rolled sides for marquee signings I wouldn't have thought, and nor would we need to.

So I agree, but that won't stop the naive wanting OTT contracts given to 'name' players.

Its funny i was having this discussion with @Bronco@Bronco today. What our expectations as fans? What we want and what we realistically are gonna get? Simple fact is there is no sugar daddy out there waiting in the wings. I said at the time Rupp and Rahic turned up, they bought the club at the wrong time purely based on a business decision. The club had peaked in the current market. Our expectations had surpassed what we realistically could expect with our budgets.

Why is that if Rupp is covering the overspend ( Remember we overspend every season) true we have players under contract we need to lose but we have done that in the past. I keep hearing stories about lost sponsors let’s hear who they are. I know of at least one new sponsor.
What will happen under Rhodes if he stays is we will live within our means. So @Bronco@Bronco invest in some new binoculars you will need them to identify all the trialists at training in July

We buy our season tickets, go to the cup games, and some away games. We also buy merchandise, but not last year when Rahic was playing fast and loose with the club credit card. I have not bought anything to eat in there for many a long year, the food is absolute crap! When that is sorted we may well go back to eating down there.
