we are waiting on the ball situation to be sorted. Warne stated a couple of days ago he won’t be recalling him even though they have 4 strikers injured and they recalled Yates from Carlisle earlier in the window.

He’s not going back to Rotherham whatever happens but we need to negotiate his release and his wages. We are currently paying half. Can we afford to take on his wages? And I assume he will want longer than a 6 month deal like the rest are getting?

Foundation problems are unlikely to have cost much for something the size of our scoreboard. I’d be very surprised if any issues amounted to more than 10k of additional cost.

Not sure what Ball and Surridge have to do with each other. At the beginning of the window, Hopkin said he may have to bring in a 6th loanee in order to get the player(s) he wanted. Why has that stance now changed?

Surely, Surridge joins and takes one of the loanee positions. Then Hopkin simply has to decide whether to pick Miller or P.O’Connor as his 5th loanee for that squad? We have enough defensive cover in the squad now (whether they are good enough is another matter), so I’d expect O’connor To sit out unless we have an injury. And if we do, he comes into the squad and Miller sits out.

So as I say, I’m not sure why the two things are linked. Yes, in an ideal world, we would sign Ball permanently, but it doesn’t have to be the deal-breaker

 

If we drop miller from the squad for surridge are we not just in the same position? We need options up front. Currently we have miller or Doyle as a striker. No one on the bench should it need changing.

Surridge will be sent here and I’d expect Bournemouth to say he has to play.

Wyke was a decent signing, we made a bit of cash. Not exactly a couple of million.

Regarding the pitch, he neglected essential maintainance work, forcing his own hand to spend cash to rectify things.

Of course we are restricting our options if we take more loans than allowed. Fully agree. But we are currently restricting our chances of signing Surridge if we are only prepared to do it if Ball signs permanently?

And I agree about Miller, which is why I said he should be in the match-day squad and should only drop out if we picked up an injury to NKP, A.O’Connor, McGowan, Mellor or Woods. Surely with those 5, we can pick 2 centre-backs and have cover on the bench without the need for P.O’Connor?

Yeah, I think they started crowdfunding in February that year, but I could be wrong - to give Rahic credit for that is bananas.
