A target man is certainly an option I wish we had, but if he can get the right players elsewhere we might not need one.......not that I am holding my breath on either possibility

For me, not necessarily a target man but certainly a decent experienced striker who can hold the ball up.

You are probably right re early deals and the best deals. As to this summers deals I think we all know the reason for this but having seen your other posts I am a bit surprised to see you describe it as our worst for some time!
My main issue with this January is the club had no need to say our business will be all very much in hand for Jan 1st - as you say we all know the problems with this window and delivering these ambitions and all is does is affect expectations

 

Yup, a lot of 'generalisations' coming out of the club at present - will be interesting to see how happy we all are in a weeks time?! At least then we will know what we are going into the final 3 months with (barring any surprise non contract players)

 

Turning into a complete let down this window. Targets should have been in on Day1 Scunny didn't muck around; result 3 wins and a draw this month !. Us ? a win two defeats and no progress apart from Woods and Anderson who let's be fair won't make the difference from where I'm stood ?. It will panic stations start of next week as we try to drag any old Tom, Dick or Harry through that blooming door !.

 

And all very well and good, but as you say, we have Caddis. For the avoidance of doubt (irrespective of what the player has said) he ISN’T a left-back. He has played most of his career as a right-back and has only started 5 times for PNE as a left-back over the last 4+ seasons.

I did say he is a good player (if we can get him fit), but as we already have Caddis, I’d argue, again, that he isn’t what we need right now

I repeat, the lad has only started 5 times for PNE as a left-back, irrespective of what the boy himself thinks.

I’m sure Gibson would say he can play the no10 role and is equally adept at that than playing as a winger. Doesn’t make it true though. Similarly, Wright came as a player that claimed he’d been played out of position elsewhere and that he’s actually an attacking midfielder. Should we give him another go in his “rightful” position?

As I’ve said, Woods is a very good player but his record throughout his career doesn’t back up this ‘wish’ we have that he’s a left-back. I think you are just getting desperate because it will mean Chicksen being left out?

 

TBF, I’m not sure those adjectives are solely laid at your door. I get it constantly if I question the popular beliefs of others

Atleast you accept he's responsible for the mess we're in. Add in that 2 of our ex managers have also confirmed that he's an absolute nightmare and a general knób and I'm intrigued to hear what your "slightly different view" is of the Rahic regime?
