    City have released a statement on it now http://bit.ly/2QetJUd.

    I was sat behind those involved at Sunderland and can see it was the same individuals at Rochdale. Like at Spotland, they threw their smoke bomb as soon as setting it off at the Stadium of Light (into our own fans that time). The little kids are obviously scared of retribution from the stewards - pretty embarrassing for all involved really...

    Bradford City and Rochdale have today released a joint statement following incidents which took place during yesterday’s game at the Crown Oil Arena.

    The statement read: “We condemn the unacceptable behaviour of a small minority of fans, from both clubs, who interrupted the competitive but happy nature of supporters who turned out to back their team in an impeccable manner on Saturday.

    “The throwing of dangerous pyrotechnic flares and other missiles will not be tolerated.

    “Both clubs have a zero-tolerance stance on any irresponsible action that places the safety of spectators at risk and which may also harm the excellent reputation of the vast majority of supporters.

    “Investigations are already underway and those found to have been involved in such incidents will be issued with banning orders.

    “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the vast majority of supporters from both clubs who behaved impeccably.

    “We will do our utmost to ensure incidents like this do not happen again.”

    Was at Rochdale yesterday, first away game this year. Reminded me why I stopped bothering. Idiot fans being filmed by grinning middle aged man clearly missing when they were in their prime and could act similarly idiotic!

    Thank God the 4 0 win wasn't overshadowed by embarrassment at my fellow city fans.

    I like Rochdale, always good atmosphere in that bar and (idiots throwing stuff aside) locals seem friendly. But they really needed to be more organised with turnstile queues, ridiculous system having separate ones for u16 / concession etc. May be fine when away support amounts to a few 100 but was always going to be chaotic for amount we brought.

    I would hope the above would be implemented if the person was found trying to enter the ground in possession of pyros rather than caught in the act of using one within the ground.

    We could start managing the situation ourselves. It’s not acceptable so they would have the support of 2500. Point out, name and shame. If anyone complains they are part of the problem too.

    The lack of police and help for the stewards really needs to be questioned . It could have been nipped in the bud pretty quickly but lack of action escalated the whole incident . Stewards are not there to start fighting with people which was happening in the Rochdale end on a few occasions . A few police officers in each corner and the problem would never have happened .

    Was there CCTV in the stand? Logical place is to have cameras is at both ends of the stand in the roof stanchions/beams. As it is a relatively low roof, then I would have thought they would have got fairly good footage of those involved and importantly clear images so they could be handed to the police.
