Traffic delays on the M62. Thankfully it is west bound. Raining up here strong winds.

To be honest, it's a different type of cold here. in England, it's a much more damp cold. In Estonia, when it gets down to -30 in February, it's more of a dry, brisk cold. Catches you out, because you put on many layers. Take a phone call without gloves, and after a minute you can't feel your fingers at all.
But yeah, it's funny seeing the UK grind to a halt whenever a few snowflakes appear, but you guys just aren't prepared for it, so it's to be expected. There's places in Sweden and Norway that even have heated pavements! As I said, winter tyres (required here by law from Nov-March) really do make a huge difference. I was over in Bradford a few years back, and took the hire car out in the snow without thinking, and slid all over the place.

Listening to the guys on the radio now, you would think the game was taking place in the North Pole. Wishing everyone safe afternoons and recommending hot chocolate and blankets :D

I've not been to the North Pole but I have been to Iceland in winter and today it was just as cold.

For your information Fordy on both occasions I was wearing a Marmot down quilted coat that costs around £250. So not a cheap coat.

The pavement at the end of Midland Road near to Queen's Road was quite icy. Those without sturdy shoes were slipping around quite a bit after the match.

@Fordy117@Fordy117 the man of the world who keeps surprising everyone with his expertise, is there nothing this man can't turn his worldly knowledge too, either buy a "Marmot Jacket" or do like Charlie does in the Kop have several different Bradford City shirts underneath your coat.

To be fair it could have been a lot worse, no problem getting to the car, but up Wibsey it's like a skating rink, must be really bad up Queensbury, get your Marmot jackets on lads if your venturing out ;).

I think the Kop were singing "Charlie Charlie show us your shirt" and he just kept flashing a different shirt must have have 4/5 on and he was still bouncing around by himself freezing and getting p**s wet through at the front of the Kop.

Fashion victim. I was warm enough in the area covered by my coat. Face, toes and hands very cold though, despite the furry boots and thermal gloves.

I can honestly say I have never been as wet or cold at VP. Toasting my toes in front of log fire. BTW @Fordy117@Fordy117 i had a Lands End quilted coat cost £200. It kept me dry and reasonably warm, but it was the driving rain. Nearly went for one walking down my path, but after skating and sliding managed to keep my balance, still got it;)
