Thank God there's only two games left to talk about before the close season rumours kick in.

So if the value of the club is diminishing all the time then why not just sell now before it diminishes any further?

The tap was never turned on though. Seems to me Edin sold Rupp (but he wasn't exclusive) a business plan that included himself as Head of football with all of his coaching/scouting/business acumen and Rupp took a punt. However, for all his interest in City, it could just as well have been a stake in a revolutionary shit recycling plant as much as a L1 football club dear to all our hearts. Oh hang on....

Yes I get that and although I'm defending Mark I don't know him from Adam, yes we've spoken once or twice but no more that fellow Bradford City fans.
I don't think there is any doubt both past owners wanted out I was of the understanding Julian more than Mark, but I believe they were possibly given assurances buy the present owners that the could take the club forward.
I posted many times once they sold the club they had no hold over Edin or Stefan to keep there word, in fact it depends on the way you look at it as a Bradford City fans whether they have been good to their word some will argue they invested in Reeves, McCartan, Poleon, and pretty heavily in the development side, where as I believe many City fans thought it would be for the likes of Dack, McAleny, Bodin and the likes.
Unfortunately they think a football club can be run on their model low basic wages with bonus payments not in England it can't and that's where they are competing for signatures, without going over old ground they though after our Wembley appearance they could get rid of seasoned professionals and get by with good league two players in some cases.
Lets hope they have learnt their lesson or if not sell to the people who will give them the best return on their investment because as I see it they have lost a lot of faith with many fans the way they have handled this season.

Your question was for him to invest. That I have answered
I suggest he wont put anymore in. He is that cash rich he's already written off his investment.
Whatever he get back he will be chuffed with
He has effectively thrown Rahic to the wolves to sort the sh!t out himself.
They were never friends before they took over City. Rahic is nothing to him
It is Rahic whom has everything to lose, as he has already stated that he has invested all he has got.
That is not the case with Rupp

And we're tired of that fake news.

We are going to make Bradford City GREAT again.

Rupp's a good man. We've got a great relationship. He's doing a fantastic job. Fantastic. We've got a plan. It's all there. It's going to be fantastic. We'll make Bradford Great again. Just see. You'll see.

Correct and that is where all of us (I'm sure someone will say they weren't) were all sucked in.
The tap was the initial investment and that seems Rupps only or very little dealing. He has taken on what Rahic has sold to him has Head honcho.
He was hoping to see a return on that investment in the medium term to me
    Its gone tits though

Was Edin's investment his own money ?, or did he get a loan from a friendly German on the proviso that it would be paid back within a certain time ?.

Totally agree with all this, my only issue with Mark on this was him playing the big I am when he "found us investors to take the club forward to league he couldn't". I fully respect once he sold the club it was out of his hands how it's run, but to me that just makes his comments look more silly now. If he'd not have said anything like Rhodes I'd have never have brought it up, as to this day it still grates on me but if people are happy to have him back fair enough it's their opinion. I'd be concerned however as if it wasn't for a certain Phil Parkinson last time I doubt Lawns stewardship would have been anywhere near the success, it certainly wasn't up to 2011. There will be no Parkinson to get him out of a hole this time.

If he does come back he needs to learn to keep his own council more often, as so much can bite you on the arse as a football owner, as the current ones are finding out with some of their PR disasters.

Either way it matters not. He's invested what he's got
Im sure in the film he say he's invested all.
So either he's plowed what he's got into us, or he's taken a loan against all his collateral
He's personally neck deep in it

All that's fair comment just a shame Julian & Mark couldn't get other investors to come on board because I certainly felt the club was in safer hands with Julian & Mark (because they were City fans) that our present owners even with their brass, and don't believe Julian & Mark would have jeopardise our club by taking irresponsible decisions.
No doubt Phil Parkinson was the catalyst, and it was a shame Edin & Stefan did not do as they said they would and left the club to run the way it had done for the previous 5/6 season, then maybe offer their views how the club could benefit from maybe a German perspective, but they didn't they knew best or so they thought at the time, anyway lets see if this new bid/offer comes to fruition.

Agree, and in particular with the bit I've bolded. I'm one of those who was cautiously optimistic when they came in, then mentioned in a poll about them on C&B that I'd shifted to sitting on the fence, and by now I am leaning so much to the negative side that it won't take much to make me join the pitchforks, tar, and feathers brigade. It's in large part due to the gaping chasm between words and deeds, but other apparent (and/or alleged) behaviours don't sit well with me either.

If they stay on, then they have to get it right this close-season. In all fairness I'm willing to see if lessons have been learnt. But at the moment I can't confess to being optimistic, even cautiously so!

Some people are talking like this is a done deal. I think it is far from that it is possible Edin has other people to put money in if as Rumours say Rupp wants out. I doubt Edin will part with the club easily

The only bit I'd question here is the bit in bold, I'd say they did exactly that with the Archie Christie fiasco, in fact quite similar to now. If we'd not of hired Parkinson, I'm a believer that we'd have been leaving the football league in May 2012. Only my opinion of course, but they made mistakes but were given time to rectify it and again I feel they got lucky as Parky saved their bacon.

Pretty much this, as I've said in another thread. I'm prepared to give them the summer, but mistakes need to be rectified.
