What are your isolation plans ....

I'm coordinating a local group in my town helping people who are isolating for 12+ weeks or if they're ill or shielding vulnerable people. The most vulnerable up here were sent this letter on Saturday. I know the items are basic but at least it gets people through. It says that this is the list to begin with but as time goes on there may be a more personalised weekly delivery. I presume the England and Wales box will be similar to begin with if not identical. Hats off to the government for this, what an excellent way to look after people and encourage them to stay home. Also reduces the time volunteers like me have to spend in shops for them.

 

From week 3 the boxes will look like this. Up the fcking Jocks, yursssssss ya dancer.

 

Does it come with irn bru? Or tennants?

There's an English boozer in Nashville. Can't remember if they had that but they had a few english things.

 

That's a very good idea, and not bad in terms of the goods -- admittedly light on the meat, but otherwise will keep body and soul together.

St. Catharines -- bang in the middle of wine country, which suits me perfectly! I'm just about to head over to Fonthill, would you believe, as I'm going to a farm shop just down the road from it, in Fenwick, to pick up some eggs and veggies. They just sent me an e-mail saying my order was ready. As with many wineries, call them up or put in an order online, pay in advance at the same time, and the same or next day head over for contactless pick-up. Very useful, especially in these times. Stoney Creek I know reasonably well, having also lived in Hamilton in the past.
