What are you watching?

dotn want to say too much but for me season 3 and 4 just didn’t get me like one and two.

 

Watched hotel Mumbai the film the other day. Shocking but very well done i thought. Anyone seen it

 

Introducing the kids to the Pirates of the Caribbean films - Black Pearl watched tonight.

 

Yep thought it was v good.

Anyone watched the second series of Gervais’s “Afterlife”. Watched the first episode and wasn’t impressed. As much as I like using the C word, if it’s over used, it loses its effect. Thought Gervais would know better.

 

As I said, loved all Fargo

Been rewatching Life on Mars. Class

 

I haven't really watched the Fargo series partly because I really like the film.

It's the series I'm going to be watching next.

The series are good if you like the Coen influence

Devs was not for me but give it a go

 

For Devs, I really enjoyed Annihilation, though I haven't seen Ex Machina.

I guess my question for Fargo is why did it need expanding upon, though I understand it's not the same scenario? Yeah, I love the Coens, everything from Big Lebowski to Barton Fink to Hudsucker Proxy, theirs was one of the first back catalogues of any director that I rinsed.

 

The series is more in the vein of the film - there are times but no need to see the film. All series are off beat, funny and violent as most Coen films are. You won't regret watching them

What was it about Devs that didn't work for you?

 

I watched the film first, then the series. Not really connected, but does get you into the “feeling” of the location it’s set in. Especially the accents

 

Gangs Of London on sky/netflix

Violent, Not 'Arf.

 

Watched it all. I was into at the beginning, but it got a bit silly towards the end I thought. Still recommend it though.

 

Watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood last night. Don't know what I was expecting but I was really disappointed, especially considering the all star cast. Well Margot Robbie didn't disappoint -obviously!

 

Finished watching the final series of Homeland last night.

An excellent series to end on, right up there with the first two series

I really enjoyed this programme. Some series better than others, which you will always get, but overall a great watch

 

Urgh I was hoping for so much more. The fight scenes just spoil the whole thing for me. I wanted gritty and dark not some almost cartoon feeling in the middle. Not finished it and don’t plan to.

Finishing off killing eve at the minute. Fantastic.

 

Killing Eve is brilliant. Well acted throughout, and who could not fall in love with Jodie Comer playing Villanelle, despite her dubious career in the series!

 

Started watching Money Heist at the weekend. Didnt think I would enjoy this one with the English dubbing, but to be fair, you soon put that out of your mind, a good watch so far. Didnt realise there was more than one series though.

The Spanish actress Itziar Ituno who plays the police negotiator Raquel is a bit of alright too!

 

Just finished the first series last night and Villanelle definitely doesit for me. The wife says she can see me smiling when shes on!
