It wasn't posh back in the 90s! No security, the gigs were usually pretty good fun put it that way. Used to go to the fenton and packhorse occassionally. Josephs well, i went to a couple of gigs much later, i imagine that has a fair bit on if still going. I saw a couple of gigs at the irish centre too. Good times they were.

Saw Therapy? very early on with Pitchshifter @Skyebantam@Skyebantam, around the time of the Pleasure Death album. Great band.

Don't know if I can get that on in the car this morning...

As a Northern Soul fan I'm still listening to it over 40 years since I started. Sift it around like the rest of you with stuff you like and am playing these two a fair bit at the moment.

I do listen to other stuff on the odd occasion and this always gets me from AC/DC.
Can't find my favourite live version of Whole Lotta Rosie, it's the one where Angus' guitar strap breaks and they fix it on stage if anyone remembers it.

Continuing my mission of putting different things up here, a couple of songs from wildly different directions.

    1) Living in the Prairies for as long as I did helped develop an appreciation for true country music, folk/traditional/roots might be better names for the genre. Emmylou Harris deserves a statue or two in her honour...

    2) One can go two ways with covers, stay true to the original or really try to make it distinctive -- e.g. Husker Du's version of 8 Miles High, which I think is one of the best covers ever. Here's another group who went their own way with a classic:

I'd have to say my second favourite AC/DC song would be Rock and Roll Damnation or pretty much anything from Powerage.

Tammy Terrell was a great singer and teamed up with Marvin Gaye to produce some Motown classics, Sadly passed away aged 24 from a brain tumour,

    Another Motown Classic
