I'm stumped on them.

I saw Lottery Winners at Live at Leeds lol, lead singer is very amusing!

Pretty solid list, don't know at least 3 of them though... added to the list so I'm not sleeping.

 

Thom, yeah he is very funny. Been listening to them for about 3 years now and seen them live about 10 times or so...which 3? IST IST I bet and maybe Slow Readers? Manchester bands with an Editors / Joy Division type sound....

Sea Girls are really good but popular with a younger crowd than the other 2....feel like I'm 'down with kids' when I see them live...lol!!!

 

Always catch at least one CUD gig a year. Still one of my favourite live bands .

 

Luckily I have a ticket for the Cult in the Barrowlands in November so that is what I is mostly listening to these days

IST IST and Slow Readers Club are excellent and deserve far more exposure than they have had.

Most of my favourite bands are from the Manchester area - Joy Division, New Order, Smiths, Stone Roses and Oasis to name but a few

 

I've got tickets for Manchester and Leeds Brudenell later this year....

 

Yes very much agree. Seen them both several times, was brilliant when they both played Holmfirth a little while back...

 

IST IST - Architecture

 

Got tickets to see them live at The Yard in Manchester in November - they are fully playing all 3 studio albums in one evening!!

 

Night's Arm one of my favourite tracks but they don't play it live anymore so will be good to hear it again in November. Wolves and Slowly We Escape....the bass is fantastic. Know Andy, met him a few times. My friends son worked with him at Scruff Of The Neck records in Manchester. Great bloke.

 

The Picturedrome, scuffy place but great venue for bands seen Showaddywaddy there a couple of times during their Christmas Tour Romeo still rocking.

 

Yeah, love the way the floor slopes up at the back so you get a decent view. It's a little dated but has a great sound.

Well Limehouse Lizzy, although excellent musicians individually, were nowhere as good as had been told they would be.

Also I realised it was 51 years since I saw Thin Lizzy. (I saw them a couple of times).

Also a bit longer since I saw Skid Row.

 

That's a shame. I've seen them a couple of times and really enjoyed both times. Got tickets to see them again next month in York so hope they're up to speed!
