A bit of the old Derek Trucks band. His range over a number of albums is awesome.

    Green Lung - Black Harvest

Brilliant album from an exceptional band. Heavy classic rock at its best.

The Government: another quirky Toronto band from back in the day:

Another classic was "Hemingway Hated Disco Music" (!)

The Damned - Damned, Damned, Damned - album for today's commute. 30 mins of raw music that sounds like it was recorded in a garden shed - still a great listen after all these years

Why is it when you say Alvin, I think Albert? Does it work the other way round as well?

Here's a bit of Albert's magic -- though this is talking about his work more than him playing it:

Bah. Not showing up. Search on Youtube for Albert Lee, Sweet Little Lisa overdub. Dave Edmunds talking about AL, and AL playing his parts.

Albert Lee is an entirely different musician.

The lead for Ten Years After is ALVIN Lee, I've seen him as a solo artist and when he was in Ten Years After.

    Google it?

That whooshing, smashing noise you're hearing is an attempted joke sailing merrily past and crashing to the ground!

I do know the difference, but I am much more familiar with Albert Lee's work. The brain just fills in 'bert' when a name starts with Al and ends with Lee, and so I have to doublecheck that I'm thinking of the right Lee!
