    wheatsheaf ac used to have club matches on the stretch about a mile downstream past the groynes, was a teenager then. The older hands used to get some right bags of chub n barbel out.

    I " discovered " it by accident , called for a couple of pints after a match lower down the Wharfe , stood on the bridge the shoal's of fish under the bridge were large . Watched a guy trotting down , taking his loose feed but ignoring his bait . I fished it later with a stick float shotted well up the line but well over depth , proved to be a good method .

    yeah, i could look down at fish from taddy and boston spa bridge for ages. Newton kyme was my fave stretch though. Sorry we hi-jacked another thread.
