    Went a bit wrong when I tried to post this yesterday. Live at the Budokan one of my all time favourites. Just reading Motley Crues biography and Cheap Trick and Rick Nielsen get numerous mentions, so maybe not quite as clean cut as they looked back in the day

    Probably the last decent stones album, Miss You/When The Whip Comes Down/Far Away Eyes/Respectable/Before They Make Me Run and Beast Of Burden are mighty fine with me still after all these years.

    Back in the day, before alt-country came to the fore -- think Blue Rodeo, Cowboy Junkies, The Sadies, Kathleen Edwards, etc., there was this man preparing the ground. I'd call this song exceedingly infectious and addictive, but seeing as we've got the coronavirus on the one hand, and Ned was yet another artist taken by heroin on the other, maybe some other adjectives would be better...

    The Rolling Stones have released some amazing singles but I find most of their albums inconsistent.

    'Some Girls' is one of their better ones in my opinion, featuring one of my favourite Stones track of all time in 'Beast of Burden'. This album is only let down by the dreadful 'Far Away Eyes'

    Not sure if it's been mentioned but Alison Krauss/ Robert Plant album Raising Sand is worth a listen, especially the "Killing the Blues" track. If you've heard it you'll know what I mean. Anyway, this is it live on the Jools Holland show years ago.
