I want it off tbh, much rather have a night game than play on Saturday lunchtime. It utterly spoils Saturday. It’s just not cricket

It is especially as the council are stretched for cash from Central Govenment like the last 14 years?

 

Can understand the injury bit with cook etc but we are actually in decent form so need to keep momentum going plus without a game next saturday 2 weeks off could do more harm than good

It's the Police who have dictated the time, they seem to think it attracts bother but I've not seen any kind of violence at games for a long time.

There will be 2k Grimsby fans there tomorrow, for a night game that would be 700 tops, the away fans add to the atmosphere and I much prefer it when they are there rather than a mini bus full so I'd rather have it tomorrow even if like you I don't agree with the time.

 

Seems to be Grismby fans with the trouble tag. Not sure how valid it is now or if the trouble has been stopped by the constant change of kick off times. I suppose they will now be reluctant to change to the times back as the trouble has stopped with the change of time

 

Current forecasts suggest temps will be no higher than 1/2c between now and kick off. If it stays like that, the game should be on.

If the temperature drops even a couple of degrees below that forecast overnight, then it's in jeopardy as it will cause freezing and ice with no opportunity to thaw.

I think there will likely be a precautionary inspection in the morning, however if the current forecast is accurate, my prediction is: Game ON.

 

Fair enough , I certainly accept that those who go have preference for sure.

 

They always move our games with Harrogate to early kick offs as if it's an Old Firm derby, I mean what are they expecting 400 Harrogate fans to smash up an already knacked Interchange and a few cakes being thrown outside Betty's in the return fixture?

They had the play off with Solihull moors there as Wembley was already booked. Toilets vandalised, pyros on concourse etc.
