Personally I think that I'd like this game to be called off.
Games played over the Christmas period plus New Years Day now three days later v. Grimsby gives the team a chance to recharge the batteries, hopefully gives Cook a bit more time to recover if his injury isn't as bad as we think and to give the new incoming signings more chance to settle in.

I really don’t think we will see Cook again until about October this year.

 

I reckon it’s 3 months minimum and the season will almost be over before he’s fit again.

 

What's the verdict Captain?

 

They are waiting for the swelling to go down before he goes for a scan but the reaction of Cook and the other players at the time it looks like it will be a serious injury. I fear it’s an ACL and if so it’s a 9 to 12 month job.

 

If this match is in any doubt I really hope we are told in good time

 

Ideally like to know today, it's my lads last game before going back to university, if I buy one for him he won't be able to make a rearranged fixture.

Can not see it being off unless it is frozen pitch but the covers should deal with that

 

It’s not just about the pitch.

The clubs have to concern the health and safety of the fans. So, the surrounding areas out the ground come into play.

 

Its currently 5 degrees outside, hardly baltic and the weather looks ok till Sunday, no rain sleet or snow.
Amazed if its off, unless they have brought an ice machine in to super freeze the pitch due to Cookie's absence.
