Right. Just a load of utter garbage. The game wasn't 'always on' as you claim. That is why there was an inspection at 10:30. Presumably the referee in his professional judgement wanted to take a further look at 1 pm, must have been some doubt in his mind.
It's as simple as that. Don't need any of your complete and utter BS.

 

Exactly if the match wasn't in doubt it would have been a normal quick look around pre-game and no questions would have been asked of the club.

It takes me 2hrs&30min by train and it would have been useful if they gave an announcement yesterday on social media that 2 inspections were to take place and you can then plan round the situation.

 

The club wanted a big crowd, and didn’t want any potential support to be deterred from attending. Would be my take on the lack of communication. Just all part of being a city supporter.

 

You have to have sympathy with any traveling fans but even thought it was a difficult surface Mr Boyeson called it right, the weather forecasts for yesterday were different every time you looked at a another forecast.
There is not doubt any rainfall after he'd made the call would have made the pitch's condition hard to justify, but he can't be called for that decision, his refereeing on the other hand could be questioned at times, but delighted to have taken the three points from what on paper looked a difficult home fixture.

 

I am not questioning the ref’s decision, but the club’s decision to keep the fans in the dark. An announcement on the state of the ground the day before with info on an early inspection would have gone a long way to helping fans make an informed decision. The ref was right it wasn’t going to get any better, it did dry up during the match. I agree on the weather forecast.

 

I thought at the time maybe with it being Plymouth and what it could cost the club financially they might have gone for a local referee coming in Friday, not the best information as you say with regards for traveling fans from Plymouth or our own fans traveling from the likes the East Coast ETC.
