Many of us on here have suggested that option since last January. I can think of worse ideas, particularly if Seedorf is ahead in the pecking order on LW ?

 

It’s not to much to ask for if you consider we made 13 signing I do think we need a center mid and 2 strikers if wyke leaves.

 

Of which I would say, only 8 of those are 'solid' players. I was thinking more in terms of the wage bill, rather than numbers.

 

They must be some left as they can’t honestly think the strike force we have will be good enough to get out off this league

We do need strikers but money doesn’t grow in trees if awyke stays I think it will be one in and if he goes two. Remember a deal for Doyle would cost about 300 k and awage demnands that would test even the most wealthy league one teams.

 

So be it. We've assembled what looks like our most creative supply line in years, with Payne, Scannell and Seedorf. What's the point if there's no bugger there to put chances away.

We should be in for Doyle anyway, regardless of what happens with Wyke.

Yes It was me who said a deal was in place and medical was taking place last week for a striker . Still told that the deal is there what the hold up is I have no idea maybe it is the wyke saga or another club are interested I don't know. Not saying it's the case but I wonder if the info regarding the medical was in fact for Wilson and not the striker as thought.

 

He may realise he might have to cut his cloth so to speak?

Would be nice to get them in but we need to ensure business is done when the window shuts

I don't think Shrewsbury will prove to be a six pointer come the end of the season

 

Edin will want to prove his point and underline reasonable activity in the transfer market by adding a quality striker before the game. Hope he doesn't let me down! We know it makes sense. (surely)!!

 

Well you've got two options - sign a striker before the first game, or after.

There is technically a third option, but let's not even discuss that.

Why is signing someone AFTER the first game a good idea?
