We used to have three plans, 2/5/10 years in my old industries . Any business worth its salt has a series of objectives. Clearly Sparks/ Hughes / Gent live in the real football/ business world and it’s certainly a huge step up planning from one transfer window to the next!

 

I may be optimistic but this two year plan for me is the aim of getting promoted THIS season and be ready for the challenge of competing at League one level the season after ................ if this league is on level with last season then we have every reason to be optimistic because frankly apart from Mansfield and Exeter not one team overly impressed me at all ........... had Hughes been in charge of that squad last season from the start then at the very least we would have been looking at a top 10 finish ........... maybe Hughes has looked at it now and feels the time is right to actually go for it now and I bet the majority of players brought in will feel the same ............. whatever you say even with the so called 3 superstars going we are are far stronger squad now ........... and if we can keep Angol fit then it makes us even stronger ........... maybe it will all come back to haunt us the ones who are optimistic but it all just feel right now

I don't get why you think right back is such a worry. Could we get better - sure. But Hendrie is steady enough. We can't have world beaters in every position. He's steady enough for div 2. He's not a worry for me.

Did he get injured? I seem to remember it was stated he was missing in pre season due to illness and there have been rumours since about possible long Covid.

 

Possibly I thought he picked up an injury but you might be right

 

Does Covid exist

 

He was ill and then got an injury too although he did work his way back onto the bench until the last couple of games when he’s disappeared again.

I imagine that he’ll get a game in the JPT to improve his fitness same as Hendrie and Foulds.
