    Didn't see the game as working at the Cheltenham Festival. See I'm not picking but we won the game 2-0. So beyond the positives, what of the negative

    Interesting that most of the signings have been 2 or 3 years. A bit of a gamble at this level but good to see actually.

    So we now have

    Crichlow : Left sided CB. Ball playing Defender. Commonly used in a back 3. Highly rated by Swindon Fans. Known for making progressive passes from defence. Needs a more orthadox CB alongside him in order to excel

    Songo’o : CDM turned CB. Will put his body on the line. Leads by example. Can read the game well. Suspect with the ball at his feet

    Odusina : Right footed CB. Hartlepool’s Best Defender. Strong. Quick. Can read the game well.

    Platt : Right Footed CB. Barrow’s best defender. No nonsense defender, in a similar mould to Paudie. Decent on the ball. Works best with an experienced CB alongside him (as he did at Barrow with Canavan)


    I would not be surprised to see Hughes play 3 at the back every now and again

    Crichlow on the left. Songo in the middle. Platt or Odusina on the right

    I think Watt would have done well, and learnt alot, from playing under MH and his system. Hey ho, no loss, players move on, best of luck to him.

    East is the same type of midfielder as Watt so I think style wise he's the replacement.
