    Agreed. Folk are deluding themselves....
    • Double his wage with ease
    • Much larger playing budget
    • Fast tracked to Championship football
    • Club he holds dear
    • On his doorstep
    If they want him, we have no chance of keeping him. Fortunately I don't think they want him.

    Of course he’s off if they want him. But:

    • High release clause.
    • Managers out there with championship experience.
    • Alexander doesn’t play the most championship ‘style’ of football.
    All indicate that it’ll be someone else. Not to mention there are sexy names out there like Gerrard who are a big draw.

    I don’t think Burnley is a risk at all,they’ll be wanting a much bigger name than Alexander, someone who they hope will take them back to the premier league.

    If PNE want him, I've no doubt that they'll get him for all the reasons you've quoted. But I don't believe it will come to that. There are managers out there who are better suited to PNE's situation, who have Championship management experience and who may be tempted to do the job on a short term contract pending their takeover. I doubt GA will even be considered on the shortlist.
