It’s mind blowing that we had three Center Backs playing and every one of them left Browne goal side of them from the throw in.

I was just having a look at the home and away form of each of the teams currently in the play offs.

We know we are crap away from home but we are little different from those around us.

Out of Us, Bolton, Stockport and Huddersfield we have lost a total of 9 games from a total of 68. Us 2, Bolton 1, Town 2 & Stockport 4.

Whilst the same 4 teams have only managed to win 20 of 66. Us 4, Bolton 4, Town 5 & Stockport 7.

Depending on what happens we could see some daft play off games where a team might win the home leg 2-0 then lose 3-0 away.

Our home form over the last 40 games is Won 30, Drawn 6, Lost 4. If only we had an away from anything but dire eh. Still what is more impressive is that is over 2 leagues, so it's continued with a "higher quality" of competition (quotation marks enabled due to playing crap like Rotherham).

Surely our home form is completely reliant on our strategy of resting key players away from home. It's becoming increasingly obvious that Alexander feels this is our best option to maximise our points total. I trust him on this decision. It's baffling that some people think that keeping the same team for away fixtures isn't going to crash our home form and likely see our points haul start to decline. We have a comparatively weak squad. We are massively over achieving and I really don't see how we can get any more out of this squad than we currently are.

We have a very favourable run of fixtures and the fixture congestion will start to ease up in a few weeks. If we can scrape 4 or 5 points away and win the majority of our home games, we'll have a play off place sewn up by the last few games of the season meaning we can rest players and give it our all for the play offs.

That's literally happened just the once, ie Saturday this season at Wimbledon. Other teams we put out are similar if not the same to the team that play like heroes at home the week before only to be totally destroyed away from home the following week. There were only 2 changes between Luton away and Peterborugh at home for example, and that is likely to do with knocks and injuries.

That's why I think there's more to it than squad rotation and unavailability. Something about our preparation for away games isn't right.

Trying to be realistic, more than hopeful...

Reading (a) - tough to beat on their own turf so a point is best im hoping for but in my head ive written off as a loss.
Orient (h) - We have to be banking 3pts here - they are shite on the road and lost their last 4.
Port Vale (a) - despite our shocking away form, they are the worst team at home in the division and currently sit bottom - so has to be 3pts.

6pts from the next 3 games would be a decent haul. 7pts would be superb.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a draw, any type not bothered. If we win I will be ecstatic! If we lose then I will try not to be too disappointed but I can’t guarantee it.

Do Town fans still say they are not bothered about us or do we genuinely get under their skin?

God Bradford are shit. I know we are but this match is dreadful.
Rotherham are pants and won't score in a month of Sundays but how Bradford are so high in league is beyond me.

Bradford are almost irritatingly shite. However, they're able to grind out results by getting the most out of very mediocre players and playing to their strengths as a team. We make good players worse, and we don't play to our strengths.

Rotherham keeper just missed a sitter in the last minute.
Fking awful game but they win again.

Football is not about playing pretty eye catching football, it's about getting results that go towards a league total.

The Rotherham games was dire to watch, but we got the 3 points we needed. The Peterborough game was a joy to watch and we should have had 5 or 6, but we still got the same points at the end of the game. Once the result is in the book it doesn't matter how you got that result, just that you got it.

I'm sure there are a host of games where I could point out Huddersfield are Shizzle, against Doncaster and Stevenage they didn't even get a shot on goal.

The league table doesn't lie come the end of the season after you have played everyone twice.

Very true. Have they forgotten how we played against them at VP? At this time of the season, you don't win 17 games(more than them) by always being dire.

Plus have they forgotten how the were promoted to the Championship in the playoffs? Didn’t score any goals in free play but beat the other teams on pens. All perfectly legal but hard to watch.

More points gained by winning at home and losing away than drawing both.. (but obvs even more by winning both!!)

The Rotherham GK had the highest xG of any millers player after missing that header lol. What little threat they offered….
