From the meeting - With regards to the stadium, it was said that the Club are in a stronger position with Gordon Gibb and there will be consultation with the Trust should Gordon Gibb wish to sell in regard of the Asset of Community Value (ACV).

From the letter - I know you will be keen for an update on my intention to purchase the stadium. It remains my desire to have our football club own the ground again. I have had positive and constructive conversations on the matter, but, I am not quite where I would like us to be.

It seems quite clear to me from the minutes that Gibb is not looking to sell but yet the communication from the club (Rupp) appears to be putting a level of spin on it that is not warranted."

 

Even more accurate translation

Gibbs …”Do you think I’m stupid”?

 

It means Gibb has still not replied to Rupp's voicemail he left in June asking to discuss the ground.

 

He wants it for far less that Gibb and the FLPF are asking ?.

 

100% and why would he, where else would he get as good a return for the FLPF he receiving from renting Valley Parade, shame on you Julian Rhodes thinking you could out smart a proper businessman !!!.

 

As a side issue just watching Kettering v Doncaster and the public announcer just announced for safety reasons for the Doncaster fans to stay behind for 10 mins.
If it can be done at a non league ground then surely we can do it and alleviate the mess on Midland Road afterwards.

 

Maybe Gibb should sell for exactly what he paid for it just like what some of our fans want Rupp to do.
If Gibb won’t sell, why aren’t we protesting outside Flamingo Land to force a sale through?

 

As part of the sale the club was given a period of time to buy back at the selling price. Master bussines man Rhodes allowed it to expire

Because there are laws with regards pension funding pension schemes and I'd suggest £2.5 million which he originally paid for Valley Parade may not be considered a good deal ?.
But go ahead and organise a protest outside Flamingo Land I'm sure he'll take notice.

Seem to remember that …The concept being it was a temporary “ loan “ to keep the club afloat using the ground as the equity. If the loan wasn’t repaid the ground ownership was “ called in “
( The debt) and transferred to the FPF . Reading this though there is zero mention of it?
