Interesting too that their revenue is 10.6m, when we're projected to be 11.5m-12m for this season.

Looking at the ‘average’ weekly wage of £7,100 (and remember the players figure will be much higher as this will include Admin/Business Support Staff, Ground staff, even the management/training/medical staff), then it is far far too high.
If you look at other relatively short careers, then the Armed forces comes to mind. A Private soldier earns from around £540 a week. A Major is on a figure up to about £1,350 a week. An army career average between 6-10 years.

Absolutely mental. I get it in the premier league, because investment can lead to higher incomes.

Never in the championship and below. Unless they make it to the premier league. Which is getting harder.

Surely there will come a point soon where owners will just do what Chansiri did and stop putting money in. Then the field will level out.

In fact, procrastinating.... if we can stay top end of league 1, even do a year in the champ and not over extend we are in a great position for when the inevitable fall out happens.

The inevitable will happen at some point imo and another Championship club will either go to the wall or decline through the leagues. That should send a very important message to other clubs who remain dependent on their owner's benevolence. The warning signs are already there and have been for some time now and the EFL together with the clubs' owners have ignored the signs and stuck their heads in the sand. No other business sector other than football operates in this way. I have some faith in the new IFR getting to grips with this before too many clubs suffer a similar fate but that will take time and there are already vested interests in the PL trying to limit the scope of his responsibilities. The IFR could send a message to the PL by looking at how the Sky monies are distributed starting with the scale of Parachute payments. That would more than likely create an enormous reaction from within the PL but it would be a good start to improving things!

If you look at Hudders losses , with guesstimating this years even larger losses I bet Nagle has chucked £50-60m down the toilet since buying the club. Their income is dropping alarmingly too.

Huddersfield fans have noticed that the directors haven't changed since the 23/24 books were published, Jake Edwards their CEO on the 23/24 CH relegation season books was the highest paid director with £410k as his salary..... in L1 for the 24/25 season he is now taking home £448k! Cutting costs doesn't register to those at the top it seems.

£22m to go backwards. They are still living like they are in the premier league whilst rattling round mid table league 1.

Outrageous. Away from their abject failure as a club, how the feck is an individual in charge of any non Premier league club on that type of salary. Something dodgy (and doggy) there....salary being split into others as who the feck would deem that vfm, particularly given his background. Laughable, then again that whole club is.

Huddersfields director earning nearly 50 grand a year more than Leeds highest paid director did last season in a successful Champ team, makes it even better

If they put the sort of brass in as Kevin Nagle done/doing at Town I might buy one.

Watch this.....expected to be worse losses this season......Kevin has seen the numbers......so he will likely be owed in excess of £100 million this time next year......

    There are 3 directors registered:

    upload_2026-4-11_3-48-15.png

None of them Jake Edwards........so one of the 3 above I reckon gets the £450k?
