My understanding after the first admin, Gordon Gibb came on board along with the Rhodes family although I think David didn't get involved with the day to day running, there were obviously guarantee's the owners of Bradford City had to honour, I believe I'm right in saying (I'll stand corrected if its not correct) Julian didn't believe we could meet those commitments going forward and told Gibb he believed the only way around the situation was another admin, which Gibb did not agree with unfortunately the Rhodes family had the majority vote so Gibb had to concede and as we know the club went into a second admin, which was the breaking of any working business relationship they could do together.
We went into administration and Gibb purchasing Valley Parade obviously helped get the deal over the line, If you remember Gordon Gibb was introduced onto the pitch in a home game (against Grimsby ?) where he told us the situation, that he'd purchased Valley Parade stadium and we would never have to worry about our maternal home again.
Julian took the reins and found that his financial input could not keep us solvent and was seeking financial help from outside, that's when Mark got involved, and the rest is history as they say.

I think a more interesting set of accounts will be the ones released next year.

That’s interesting , who owns the flats . They all seemed to be occupied when I was there last, affordable housing?

I am sure @Interested Bystander@Interested Bystander will have the correct figures to hand, but I understand that West Ham rent their stadium for £4.4 million a season, with a lease until 2113! so 8.8 times more expensive than the £500 thousand City pay for Valley Parade.
On a slightly different subject, the capacity of the London Stadium is significantly greater than VP, at around 62,500, however the Season Ticket prices are far far more expensive, with many quoted at over £1,000+ per season!
I anticipate that a higher amount of the Season Ticket price will just go towards the ground rental costs.
I guess a lot of City supporters would struggle with those sort of costs?
So ‘not owning’ Valley Parade may well be something of an issue, but comparable none ownership of the stadium hasn’t prevented West Ham, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United from being successful Premiership clubs.

I wonder which players make up the £340,000 transfer income? Jake Young?

From Stevenages financials, they spent £139k on player purchases, looks like they bought 3 players. Think they said at the time the Young fee was about £200k, guessing the transfer fee is spread over the length of the initial deal and was probably paid up in full in Jan when Young moved on?

We got a small fee for Odusina too it looks like, i guess we moved on a few youth lads too in that time to make up the rest?

Despite it being referred to as simply Transfer Income, it includes player sales (as you'd expect) but also loan fees, sell-on clauses and appearance-related payments for previous transfers. Lots of different bits! Quite who they relate to, I've no idea!

A couple of other issues to bear in mind in the £4.m rent. It reduces by 50% if relegated, but included in the rent are match day stewarding, pitch upkeep, seat renewals and so in (famously includes provision of the corner flags) The difference between a Rhodes and a Brady . Of course PL footie comes at a cost, but the waiting list for STs is over 20,000. I'm loathe to admit how much my STs cost, but I'm 75 and you can't take it with you

You impoverished southern blighters! I don't know how you manage. I could almost feel sorry for you with your exorbitant STs having to follow a PL club whose revenues only just pass £220 million! Or if you prefer it, you take every couple of weeks what we take at this particular club oop north in a year! I just hope you can cope! :worried:

ps And we have to buy our own corner flags!
