    It's the new fancy name given to a tier of sponsors, although even these days they get called partners not sponsors. The way the commercial partnerships are set up on the website "principal partners" are the 2nd tier so if this American company is a "principal partner" then it won't be taking over JCT600 on the front of the shirt as that will be reserved for a "main partner".

    Chick-fil-A would be a double edged sword. In one hand the food would be a massive improvement on the current concessions stuff but nobody would be able to afford it. Their really excellent chicken sandwich meal about £10 here. But going left field, I wonder if the Watt brother at Burnley might give a nod to some of his monied associates to dive in with the continued Americanisation of the game by looking below the top 2 leagues. Anyway, it’s probably all rubbish.

    Well they still don’t open on a Sunday. I actually don’t care for some of the stuff they support (or don’t) but hats off to them for standing by their convictions concerning the Sunday opening and loss of profits. As for the rainbow flags, they do actually employ people from the lgbt community. Still, they won’t be interested in us.
