Without knowing his son or what he does for a living it would be hard to guess.

The glowing appraisal from Alexander towards Halliday makes me think that the relationship between Cook and Alexander, and Pattison and Alexander wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Cook didn't reference Alexander in his leaving note and I don't think Patto did either. Was there a split in the camp?

Just spoken to him.He says Newcastle are earmarking him as a left back/left wing back .I am beginning to think Alexander sees Touray as a left sided central defender,so it could all fit into place nicely.

Aye, I said this the other day. 50% of his starts last season were at LWB. I think this is instead of getting another LCB.

That makes sense. Tilt isn’t fast so having Touray alongside him, will help. Baldwin isn’t a slouch but J.Wright will also benefit from having Touray as the LCB when he plays.

I think that's why McIntyre was let go.I think Alexander is satisfied with Tilt,Kelly and Touray as his options.

Good interview with Halliday in today's T&A.Seems a really level headed guy,who saw where his career at City was heading, and made the right move to secure his future, and set himself a new challenge.Personally,I hope everything works out for him at Dundee,he gave his all at City,as I am sure he will at his new club.

Absolutely ,it was the best deal for both parties . He got the 2.5 year deal that secured his future when he knew he would highly likely not be offered another in June, and we probably saved 6 months wages if a mutual was agreed.
Good luck to the lad and well done to all concerned…a decent outcome.

Absolutely the right way to leave a club. Our best right back since Stephen Darby.
