Test Match Cricket

Or a board rubber launched at great speed.

 

Pay attention to what? A game slower than Hughes tippy tappy football ?

 

Different sports pal. Cricket is a sport with several different formats.

 

England might well try to play test match cricket at a faster tempo but the game itself is slow.
How long does it take from the point of a ball being bowled to the next one being bowled or at the end of an over, the next over starting.
I’m sure lots of people enjoy it but for me it’s a yawn fest and the only enjoyment would be sitting all day in the sun getting pissed.

 

Not everything has to be fast paced. I’m a traditionalist I have always liked test cricket with the swinging fortunes and battle between bat and ball. I appreciate why people like the one day stuff but I prefer the real deal

Yes. This summer's Ashes series was very boring

 

I don't enjoy it either but that doesn't mean it's boring per se, it means you and I find it boring.

I’m sorry but ‘gripping’ is not a word I’d use to describe test match cricket. 1 day or 20/20 maybe but not test matches.
There’s a reason Americans don’t play cricket, it’s boring and often has no end result.
I mean what sort of sport can possibly be decided by the fecking weather!!!
Imagine city drawing 0-0 in the final game needing a win to go up and it starts raining thus abandoning the game. Would we accept we don’t get promoted because it rained!!
That’s exactly what happened with the Ashes. England lost the series because it rained. Just let that sink in.

 

What for 5 days! Yeah, I can’t be bothered thinking for that long about the same thing!

 

Yet the Yanks have managed to turn an hour's game into near enough 4 hour's with American Football.....
