Technology in the EFL

    Interesting news that might have impacted us next season is that Championship clubs have rejected bringing in Football Video Support (FVS) to the Championship next season.
    FVS is basically a VAR lite with fewer cameras needed, no VAR officials, offsides are judged by the eye and reviews are initiated by coaches who have 2 reviews per game.

    Given the money in the Championship and the value of going up I'm surprised it looks like most clubs are very much against it as ultimately it would correct a lot of the wrong decisions and trials in other leagues seem to be going well.

    Also there is going to be a cost based analysis of goal line technology in league 1, with more bigger clubs with bigger budgets it's not a surprise it is being looked at now but I have a feeling there won't be enough of them to win the vote in June. If it's still the same as when the Championship introduced it, it's not just the cost of installing it but also floodlights need to be brighter to work in night games.
