When I was about 12, I remember Lee Duxbury getting sent off v Burnley. We still won 1-0. I cried when he got carded and cried tears of joy when we scored.
    Oh to be 12 again.

And now Burnley are in Europe and we’re in the Checkatrade ...

Now that’s something worth crying about.

Made me laugh when ManCity fans were in floods of tears because they had lost to Man Utd and not clinched the title against them this season. I just thought how pathetic, they've won just about every game this season and now can't cope with one home defeat, They should have been at Blackpool with me the same day when we lost 5 0 ,now that was tearful.

FA cup qf v Reading. Davies header. Punched the seat in front in frustration. Fecking hurt it did.

Just recalled ............ City losing at home in 1971/72 to Torquay . A Tuesday evening, I think ?
A well contested game, but with no real hope from City. Although I lived only 350 yards away, I was distraught, and a long trudge home. We ended on about 41 points, and relegated. :(

close to tears when losing to Boro in 87/88 and possibly losing to Ipswich on the final day in 88... a win would have took us to the promised land... holy crap was that really 30 years ago!

Never cried, a couple of lumps in the throat moments though. The cup final and Stuart leading us out at Wembley been the main two.

Never bat an eye lid over England anymore, couldn't really care less. Last time I did was when Rooney got sent off in 2006 against Portugal. I don't go to games so don't really feel that connection, when the inevitable happens and we get knocked out, I'll probably be more busy checking the City hashtag and on here seeing if we've finally signed anyone.

And 41 points was a pretty huge total to go down with back in the days of 2 points for a win

Same here PB but I blamed the lump in my throat on my dodgy Wembley pie at the time.

Seriously though, I've never cried because of footy. I did have tingly eyes when we won at Wembley though.

I'm afraid it was worse than that, we finished bottom that season with a miserable 32 points

Great memories I go along with Wolves 99, 3-2 up they hit the post with Gary Walsh beaten then the pressure of awaiting the final whistle, in my case tears of joy feeling so releaved it was over and we were promoted.
The wife said after the game the tv cameras panned around the City fans and me and our lad looked like we'd lost rather than won, a day where we went through every emotion.
