Tranmere sack Keith Hall.

So if anyone thinks sacking T & S was brutal then don't know what they think of this.

 

That is truly bizarre when they are in the play offs

 

Maybe they've found out he's been in negotiations with another club about taking a new job...

 

Their fans seem very happy. Can't always tell what's going on at a club. A bit like our situation, results looked OK but a change was definitely needed.

 

Bit like Spurs sacking Mourinho just before a Wembley Cup Final.
Seems like the owner thinks Hill has lost the plot and they'll have a better chance in the playoffs with the assistant manager in charge.

Results were horrific, couldn’t score goals, not trying anything to change it. They’ve literally limped home and snuck in by the skin of their teeth.
No way would they have won a knock out tournament. Bold move but they’re simply rolling the dice.

 

That would be tinpot, missing out on compo due to pride.

this is one of the daftest sackings ive seen all season. Really stupid.

 

They looked awful against us. Just physical with no attempt to play football, if it was like that every week they did right to sack him. And because I had money on them to go up, so I'm glad he got the sack.

 

I’ve a good friend who is a season ticket holder - and honestly they’ve been calling for his head for a long long time, it’s not a knee jerk thing by any stretch.
The gamble might not work, but nothing to lose with 3 knockout games to play!

 

Hill was having a go at the fans for their unreal expectations. Presser on Saturday he said there's a lack of unity between him, the players and the ownership. Only a matter of time from the sounds of it. Removing someone who is publicly divided might be a gamble, but struggling to see a Tranmere fan on twitter complaining about it.

Can you imagine sacking someone just because someone else was going for them? Thats what the original comment i was replying to was getting at. First thing you would do would try and lock them down for compo not to get rid regardless of how well they are doing.

 

It's quite common to put someone on garden leave if they've agreed to join a competitor, I also wouldn't see an issue with sacking someone who had negotiated a deal with someone else in secret once it came to light.

It's probably the opposite of tinpot, tinpot would be begging someone to stay or being desperate for compo.

 

Sounds like Hill is right, Tranmere fans are a bit silly if they can't live through one season of boredom if it restores them to the division above.

Sacking them for agreeing to leave would be well planned. Leaving someone in charge of the team that is leaving to one of your competitors would be a sign of a tinpot club
