They will buy them back for £10 from all supporters who aren't happy after the January transfer window has closed.....

I understand that you can sell back your ticket for a game (or more) if you are unable to attend. However it is likely to be for a reduced amount. Say £10, which could be credited, if you renewed the following season. It gives the Season Ticket holder some refund, and allows the club to resell the ticket, thereby allowing more to come to matches and sit in the main body, rather than some of the outlier seats which are available.

One interesting minute that you didn't include:

"If introduced, returning a ticket would count as having “attended” for any attendance-threshold rules that may be considered in future".

It looks like the Club are seriously considering setting a minimum attendance level for season tickets, something that a lot of higher level clubs have done or are looking at.

That might be me gone as an ST holder for 40+ years then. Depending on the threshold and the option to return the ticket obviously.

I would be upset for my little grandson if a minimum attendance comes in. He has special needs and isn't always able to go to matches. I am hoping as he gets older he will attend more often.

Seems madness that letting a ticket go / being sold back to the club would be marked as being in attendance

If that's the case why don't we get the points for the home games we can't attend now, or is it just because you have helped the club out by letting them sell your ticket again

Not really, the minimum attendance rule would be to stop potential "part timers' hogging seats that could be used by others to boost attendance and atmosphere. ST holders who wish to sell back on very few occasions won't be penalised therefore will be checked 'attended' on their record.

That would be quite worrying for some fans particularly if 'returning a ticket' had to have a long lead time. A friend of mine who has a ST lives on the far side of Chester and often makes a decision to attend or not, particularly for mid week games, at the last minute depending on traffic congestion on the motorwsys. It doesn't make sense to me. I understand that most PL clubs and a number of Championship clubs already do this as a way of increasing revenues but it smacks of opportunism to me.

Yes, the lead time was something I wondered about. If it is too long, then season ticket holders may err on the side of caution and effectively rule themselves out of attending a match. The consequences could be even lower attendances, especially for midweek matches.

From my brief understanding from other clubs the sell back works that you ge marked as attended if you notify the club tha they can resell your ticket , and the you he the money/credit IF the club actually resell your ticket. So if they don’t manage to resell it you don’t get the cash back. Normally it is at the rate you paid minus a percentage for admin but means the club still gain on it by selling it on at full price.

For reference Leeds cut off for putting tickets back up for sale is 90 mins before kick off

    Alright kevin here goes.

The repeated requests for toilet facilities to be looked after and maintained correctly, a basic commodity.

Updated covers, which frankly aren't fit for purpose

Same issue has been raised regarding facilities in the TL Dallas stand for years, nothing has been done

That's three for starters, I'll go back through previous minutes when I get chance. It's all there documented. Every month something can't be done due to budget constraints

    In a similar position
Waited years for the seat next to mine to become available, purchased for my six year old grandson
He unfortunately hasn’t got the bug yet
    Hoping he will
The seat has not been empty though friends and family members have bought tickets and sat there

It would be classed as attendance for the purposes of tackling the issue of seats frequently being unused/available for sale and setting a minimum amount of games you have to attend to keep the seat, I doubt they would award points if you don't attend and put your seat up for sale.

With the TL Dallas there is very little they can do as the only way to create a section that isn't in view of the pitch so you can drink alcohol is to redevelop the whole stand which will cost fortunes that could be spent much better elsewhere. There's more chance of the law being changed so you can drink alcohol in view of the pitch than use redeveloping the stand any time soon.

It only says in it that minimum attendance "may be considered in future" so it doesn't look like there are plans for it soon.

I think the minimum attendance will be a while off, until we get to the point of regular sell outs or very near sell outs and we have a waiting list for season tickets it's not worth putting on a minimum attendance. Before that I would image we'll trial the resale because if that works there's no need for a minimum attendance. The only way I see that coming in any time soon would be getting to the Championship and staying there.
