Ahhh the false dawn match, when everyone saw Jack Payne tear Shrews apart and we thought we cracked the code with Michael Collins for all of 1 match :D

Until the future of Valley Parade is clear, then it all seems a bit pointless at the moment. After noises from the Chairman, it's all gone quiet.

Yep, there has to be some in both home and away ends plus it can not block the view of others not in the safe standing area, so really they have to be at the back and edge of a block with a wall or something behind so they don't have people seated behind them which really restricts the options. Lower NWC would tick a lot of the boxes for the home end but not sure on the suitability of the curved layout of the stand. And I haven't got a clue for the away end without using th TL Dallas as away section for every game

The fact Michael Collins only managerial stint was with us, 6 years ago, adds further confirmation that Rupp was never serious about progressing this club. In hindsight, it's actually embarrassing and frustrating that SR allowed a 32 year old rookie on the cheap to lead a 3rd tier club.

The minutes of the meeting of 10 October 2024 are now available to view at https://www.supportersboard.com/meeting-minutes
    The main points are:
    • Marco Townson advised that updates were expected shortly on both match day road closures and the installation of new WiFi at the stadium.
    • A discussion took place regarding issues with the Atmosphere section.
    • A discussion took place regarding issues with the (lack of) moderation of the unofficial/independent Bradford City Facebook Group.
    • Discussions are continuing between Stefan Rupp and Gordon Gibb regarding the potential purchase of Valley Parade.
    • Installation of digital advertising boards, at TL Dallas (Bradford) End expected to take place in January.
    • Next meeting will take place at end of November 2024.

RS took the opportunity to address the misconception that the atmosphere section
    was originated by the club.

Shock horror, our CEO removing himself from any responsibility over things....

RS updated the meeting on the following items:
    a) Discussions are continuing between Stefan Rupp and Gordon Gibb regarding the potential purchase of Valley
    Parade.

I don't suppose he wanted to share anything with us on this? Just it's ongoing. I guess this doesn't really need pushing until "season ticket sales" anyhow.

AB questioned the Bradford City membership scheme, the pack is essentially the same as last year and what
events can members expect? MT and RS agreed to take the action away for an update, the membership pack
should vary each year moving forward.

At the end of the day, the membership pack is basically a 100 point grab for City points, nothing more, nothing less. From what I hear the "exclusive video content" is non existant, the membership packs are just a jumble of a couple of items, with juniors in year 2 getting the probably left over scarves from the adults in year 1. Literally zero effort is being made for what is being sold as an addon. I think they sold tickets at £5 about twice in the last two years to members.

Absolutely pointless and a huge waste of everyone's time.

Anyway, that's the football club summed up, I wonder if these meetings are of any use?

Well you state the meetings are pointless and a waste of anyone's time then ask if they are any use. Sort of answered your own question there.

This is Bradford City, nothing happens fast.

We're still blaming Geoffrey Richmond 20 years on. Give it another 15 years and Edin Rahic is in for some right hammer!.

I saw someone on the T&A comments sections blaming Rahic for our current failures, even though 4 years into Spark's reign as CEO literally everyone we had under Rahic has been replaced or approved by the current CEO.

The minutes of the meeting on 30 January 2025 have now been published. This includes:
    • The next fans forum will probably take place in May or June and supporters will be able to attend in person at Valley Parade.
    • There are no further developments to report regarding the stadium purchase at this time.
    • Ryan advised that Stefan has been extremely supportive and has provided all of the additional funds that he has been asked for in order to help build the very good squad that has been put together. The clubs wage bill has risen markedly, with significant additional funds provided for transfer fees and additional wages in the January window, which meant that the club could secure its transfer targets. Ryan elaborated that the club now has several players that are amongst the highest paid players in the division. This has taken place at the same time as running costs at the club and stadium are increasing, the owners commitment to supporting the club financially has been vital.
    • It is hoped to put season tickets for next season on sale around late March/early April.
    • Regarding the digital advertising boards, the brightness has been reduced – this was set to 60% for the Walsall game, reduced to 10% for the Morecambe game and will be reduced to 5% for the next home game. This will improve the issue. The club has also approached some sponsors whos’ adverts have white/light coloured backgrounds and requested that these be changed to a darker colour where possible to reduce the impact on supporters.
    • Other items mentioned included road closures, the Club's fan engagement plans, the Walsall social media comments incident, Andy Cook's recovery, improvements to the PA system and a Community Foundation update.

The minutes of the meeting on 27 February 2025 have now been published. This includes:
    • Ryan provided an update on the digital advertising boards. Ryan stated that the digital boards have the potential to take the clubs commercial income to the next level. The club currently generates around £1.65m pa. from commercial deals, which is higher than many clubs in higher divisions. However, the remaining advertising collateral available to sell is limited without the boards. Some clubs generate revenues from digital ads that outstrip kit sponsorship by 3 to 1. The club are actively investigating expanding the project to maximise the potential income.
    • There has been a noticeable drop in attendances during midweek games, with matches available to watch on TV. The club are keen to have as many supporters as possible at home games between now and the end of the season to maximise the atmosphere to help the team achieve as many points as possible.
    • New kits for next season are being prepared, the first of which may launch a little earlier than last year.

Thanks for the update @Stafford Bantam@Stafford Bantam. I'm not sure if you're involved with the SB directly but I hope they/you can raise with the club the fact that the EFL have scheduled one leg of the League 2 play-off semis for 11th May. Hopefully we're not involved but, if we are, I feel (personal opinion) that we shouldn't be playing a game on that date anyway but particularly on the 40th anniversary. It would just be too emotional and may detrimentally impact the atmosphere and the team's performance. It would also mean that many people may not be able to attend the service depending on kick off time and whether we are home or away.

Both league 2 first leg playoffs are on that date. We have played on 11th since the fire. Just another incentive to avoid the playoffs.

I agree that we want to avoid them. I think with it being a significant anniversary (they all are to me), i.e. 40 years, it doesn't feel right to me. However, just personal opinion. I also doubt the suits at the EFL and Sky were even aware when they made the decision. Imagine we're away at Colchester that day: you'd be asking people to choose a memorial service or the game. That doesn't sit well with me.

They would schedule those dates well in advance without remotely thinking which 4 clubs in the entire division would be taking part. You can’t plan with every “ what if” in mind tbh.
