Summer 26 Transfer Rumours

I've seen a few comments that Notts will be big spenders. According to their fans, they had the 10th-highest budget in League 2 and look to get pickups through data rather than spend big. I'd be surprised if they have a higher budget than us. I expect MK Dons to be right up there, they were getting league 1/champ players in league 2. The other 2 will have bottom 4 budgets, so they aren't a concern budget-wise. I expect we will be about the same again and that's probably why we have increased it, to keep at around the same pace.

 

Budget initially raised as per season ticket increases, that can only go so far unfortunately.

With this year's S/T going up to £349, I think there is soon going to be a ceiling hit with what fans can afford or are willing to pay.

Our "cheap" ticket pull is dwindling and quite a few teams now are cheaper than us. It could end up being a vicious circle with prices increased to higher any budget, however less tickets sold resulting in an actual lower revenue stream

Yeah i think we will be a middle-ish budget once again in the league and again try find some good shrewd signings again. Blackpool wont be spending what they did last summer once again, unless Peterborough decided to throw a load at it or Wigan, we will be in a similar slot.

 

They only have a decent budget through selling Tolaj . I can’t see them spending this window tbh.

Looks like he said we are after a keeper and a DM but we aren't jumping into deals for our targets as of yet....... so a complete nothing-burger of a statement given every man and their dog who have a slight bit of knowledge around City know that's what we are after.

Unless Peterborough make player sales , which seem to be dwindling over time , they aren’t / won’t be the big spenders they used to be.

There shouldn't be but there are loads. Used to be like the wild west on a weekend in the 80s and 90s when I was going through my teenage years.

 

I don’t think there ever has been a true rivalry. The one and only season I can remember us finishing higher than them was the 87/88 season.
I have several Leeds supporting friends / colleagues and whilst they wish us to do well, it’s in a very condescending manner a bit like we might be with Halifax fans and like we were with Harrogate until they came up and started beating us.
