Summer 26 Transfer Rumours

Are Sheffield Wednesday rich again now? I genuinely have zero idea about their new ownership. Other than they were a sunken ship. For me, it isn't even about turning them around; they need to be totally re-floated first. People will have them up there on name alone. I think they have a monumental task on their hands. Unless their owners can chuck silly money at it. I suppose if the rumour is true about Bailey, then they must have some money, but it sounds like a teenage X rumour to me. It's always funny how many people fall for them every year.

 

Instead of signing squad fillers that don't play. Hope our strategy is to sign 2 or 3 quality players such as Keilor Dunn.

Would have to be a loan with a decent fee for DKD but he is a proven 1 in 2 scorer. Given no game time at Wrexham and could be looking for a move.

 

I was reading there is no guarantee of funding for players and wages at Wed as yet . Any ideas? Is that’s the case ?

 

Nobody really knows anything with them at the minute, even their own fans dont seem to be able to shed any light on stuff. Nobody really has any idea how rich their new Yanks are but he must have had a fair few quid to get it over the line.

They've been linked to a former player in Rinomhota, yesterday there were rumours that they want Jack Diamond from Stockport and a young Man City defender on loan, this known WUM they have has said they are after Bailey. They were linked to Goode at Stevenage too but he is off to MK. Seems to just be a random sputter of names so far. Wilson isn't daft though and knows the lower leagues, they'll get some impressive names through the door no doubt but it's going to be a task to get some form of squad in line for promotion and everyone on the same page.

As far as Wednesday are concerned, I thought I'd read somewhere that they were on a wages embargo of £7 k a week. Not that I expect us to paying anywhere near that kind of money.

Hutchinson on paper is exactly the type we should be chasing but a shame it's not sounding promising. Although Parker has been off in the past with transfer reporting, never know i suppose.

 

Sheff Weds reporter has said this afternoon that Bailey is on their longlist of targets but he's being chased by a lot of L1 clubs and teams in Scotland too.

Bolton reporter confirming that Johnston is Luton bound.

 

I think Parker is off on his hols,so something is bound to happen when he is away.

Stockport Journo replied to the Sheff journos tweet on Bailey being a part of their long list of targets. He said that he's heard Lincoln are interested in Bailey.

Lincoln are a big test for some players this summer. It's Champ football and a better platform, but Lincoln will probably be paying upper end L1 money, certainly not usual Champ level money. You could probably get a better salary from at least 5 or 6 L1 clubs this season, they maybe get a bump with promotion.
