    Agree with that but I also agree we won't get him. Don't think Donny will be able to keep him but his performances have surely alerted Championship teams

    I can't see us out bidding Wednesday or MK and he'll go across to Sheffield no doubt. It actually pisses me off that they didn't get a 15 points deduction like other clubs have got in the past for similar offences.

    There are caps on how much Wednesday can spend and they aren't allowed owner equity top ups to increase their spending power, so not a certainty he'll end up there by any means.

    Money aside, they are the most intriguing for any player, but take them out of the equation, (do they still have a max £7k a week salary?) then out of those mentioned I do think we would have a real chance.

    Location, captain status and while we may need to make him the top earner, we can compete within reason on his salary. I don't think his transfer fee will be anything silly, he has 12 months on his deal.
