I think that's because GA doesn't like having them in early because if they do well they can go e.g. Wright went to Plymouth and Hudds lost Castledine, and GA won't want to commit to the full season in case they aren't good enough.

So he goes for permanents in the summer and loans in Jan. Just a guess.

 

White would be a miss. Created loads of chances. Ex-Spurs lad I think so maybe Orient or possibly Wycombe might be a shout.

 

Apparently with his double relegation drops, Brown was on about £8k a week at Luton after reportedly being on close to £30k when he signed for them in the PL, but Lutons back to back relegation clause drops means he was still a good earner their and would be a top earner at most clubs. He'll get a top end L1 team, feels to be like a Sheff weds type. Beesley will be on the move i'd say. Thomas seems like it's just a matter of time before he's linked with us.

I mention Batty as he's still learning but has a decent amount of L2 experience under his belt for 21 years old and we seemingly were drifting more to a 4231 setup to finish pretty much every game for the last month or so. When GA came in he tried the 4231 but it didn't work, he's gone back to it a few times and it makes me wonder if that's the plan next season? We lacked pace and direct play at the top of the pitch but Wright can offer that as the left forward, Pointon is better with the ball at his feet and tight spaces, he's way more a natural 10 than a winger, can move him inside (if he stays). Touray looked a bit lost trying to get forward at LWB, maybe he needs to be LCB or a back 4 LB going forward? Batty (or his type) as the understudy to save Tourays legs every now n then? It looks to me like he lost a yard or two from the start of the season.

 

Wright would be a decent signing. I thought he played quite well against us, if it is him that I’m thinking of!

CM/CAM, potentially a replacement for Leigh/Lapslie/Sarce?

Wonder if we will have a go for Tayo again played 16 games for Wednesday second half of season would suit our system perfectly and he knows the club

 

I think we need better than Tayo.

Perhaps instead of spending money on data and performance analysts we should just ask a few people near where you sit if anyone is knackered?

More money for the budget too, it's a win win.

 

Interesting to see who from last season warrants keeping a starting jersey and what positions do we look to strengthen? We lack a box to box midfielder in the Pattison mould but that would mean one of either Metcalfe or Power doesn't start. I want a new number nine which would mean Jackson moving to the positions behind the 9 which would help Neufville who be benefitted from having. Jackson in front of him the odd time he played there.
We definitely need more creativity and goal threat but are players like Wareham the sort of player Alexander looks for?

 

His goal against Orient where he ran on to Humphrys brilliant pass and made the finish look so simple was 10 minutes from the end of the game so how he did that when he doesn’t get past 60 minutes is very strange.

 

If we can get someone decent for up top then I don't see why we wouldn't continue with Sarce and Jackson competing for the right sided attacking mid position. Would mean Sarce and Jackson can rotate. My only concern with Sarce was would he want a 2 year deal to stay and if he is happy with one then I think it's a no brainer he stays.
