Not seen his name mentioned on here, but a Stockport fan on another forum is suggesting their LWB Ibou Touray is linked with us.

Believe he may have worked with Alexander previously at Salford. Decent pedigree.

 

He's played 19 games in 2 years. Whether that is down to injury, selection, politics or whatever else that isn't a good statistic.

 

Now you are talking. Good player. I understand Stockport have offered him a new contract. We might have the same scenario as last summer with Sarcevic

 

Me neither and I watched both Salford games last season but I don't always pay a lot of attention to the opposition team.

 

Guessing he's been told to, but after a lot of people noticed that he started following the club online.... he now no longer follows us. Tilt jumping the gun i guess?

 

Me too. Can somebody explain why Tilt is such a bad footballer?

 

Agreed. I wanted us to sign him when Stockport got him a few years back.

 

It's a bit of a contradiction to say we need experience at the same time as dismissing Power and Tilt who are both very experienced players, Tilt has over 150 appearances in league 1 and 1 promotion from it, Power has 300 league 1 appearances with 3 promotions from league 1.

 

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s a bad footballer , however my observation is he can be caught out with pace with balls over the top . If we can play without sitting too far forward thus negating the opportunity for the opponent then he could end up doing a decent job.
The last game I watched of Salford was V Donny , he caught out a few times because they were sitting too high. Streets goal from a free kick , clever, but caught him out just the same.

 

Thoughts on Curtis Tilt?

 

I think its his age, he will be 34 when season starts and is coming from a midtable L2 side. Underwhelming considering we are in dire need of CBs.

 

Is signing a 34 year old L2 defender even worth hiding like its going to be some big surprise?

 

The highlights for our game at their places the last 2 seasons are below. Hes number 16.

First highlights from a few months back, he's nowhere near Tommy Leigh who isn't exactly pacey and he gets an earful from the other CB. He's on the line for Hallidays goal, not much he can do for that. For Mellons goal, he is really rough to watch. He backs off which most do, but he doesn't try show him down the line, or try block his run, he just backs off too much. Kav doesn't even really do much or drop the shoulder or anything really and Tilt decides to go left, awkwardly, and he's nowhere near Kav or a runner.



The season before, Cook get a step on him from free kick for a free header across to Kav to tap in. For the winner, he has some very lazy defending. Really slow to track into the box and find his shape. Then when the ball trickles his way, he is far too slow to react and isn't sure what to do. He does well to get the block for the first effort, but if he is alert from the start he can just hoof that away and defuse the situation.

 

The pun on the announcement better be worth it.

 

Adds to the pattern but all based on a Twitter rumour at the end of the day . We shall see what develops , if anything ?

 

Huddersfield have signed Marcus Harness from Ipswich. Impressive CV, will be on a fair whack! Can he play "Northern Football" though? Or whatever it was that the new owner wanted at the weekend.

 

Very decent signing. Coupled with Ledson that is a very good start in the transfer window....

 

Is it just me who has hardly any clue who some of these players are ?

 

He's sh*t, and if that's the calibre of signing we make, won't be in this division long.
