Summer 2025 transfer rumours

A few are saying Joe Wright from Kilmarnock.

Probably turn out all wrong and it will be someone not previously linked.

 

As Sergio pointed out…Our last Kilmarnock signing was Ash Taylor ….eeek!

That is in addition to Pearson. They wernt claiming one or the other.

 

Playfully....not gunna rule out a potential signing because the last one was shite.

 

I'm no ITK it's pretty much common knowledge. I did hear from a 'sauce' that other signings may or may not be made sometime this transfer window.

 

One player signed, not even any contracts renewed yet and this thread is already 81 pages long..... LOVE IT!

The following players are in ongoing discussions with the club:

Ciarán Kelly
Colin Doyle
Lewis Richards
Richie Smallwood
Sam Walker

Ongoing discussions could mean anything i suppose, but it doesn't say anywhere on there that the club had already offered terms to anyone.

 

It wasn't Pearson either he has been mentioned a few times on here over the last few weeks.

 

I hope Joe Wright has a better turning circle. Taylor was like an HGV.

 

Well one thing we definitely know is Smallwood is off.

 

I wouldn't even go into this is if I were you cos all you'll get back is "you said Smallwood was a done deal but now he's left" when I reality we all know decisions can change quickly. Just present what you feel comfortable presenting and leave it for folk to agree or disagree

 

Maybe the rumours about us signing Dean Campbell from Barrow might be more than hot air.

 

I don't get why anyone needs to be called out one way or the other, our club used to be like a sieve with regards info getting out, I for one are more than happy to read we have signed a player that has not been mentioned on here.
Theres a City fan on You Tube who has a 30 minutes clip on who he thinks we should sign and gives good reasons why, I very much doubt any of the ten he mentioned will sign, you don't have to watch it but the lad is very informative on said players, I'm certain David Sharp and Graham Alexander are far more informed.
I doubt @king karl cares what's posted as long as the footfall on here is busy .

Hopefully Walker, Kelly & Richards sign on, otherwise this is turning into pretty much a rebuild. As it is we are looking at probably 2 wing backs, 2 or 3 centre backs, 2 midfielders and 2 strikers at a minimum. Maybe another attacking mid/wide player to play in that floating area too if theres one that looks a step up in quality.

 

Maybe they are waiting to see if there's going to be any players signed in their positions? Could be the same with Smallwood - brought in Power, told Smallwood that he's not guaranteed first choice football next season, decides to not renew. Certainly we need a new keeper - back up or not. Maybe Tayo is being talked into coming back - something Richards will have his eye on.

 

Walker yes agreed, Kelly as cover only but not our go to left centreback , not a chance for me, Richards can go to the CC if that’s his want. So a rebuild all over the place.
Didn’t Stockport also move a number on as well?

 

don’t forget we signed that keeper from Blackburn in January, so if Walker signs I’d expect them with Hadi as number 3.

listening to the hard truth podcast today, it sounds like there’s bigger interest in Tayo
