Of course that’s how it should be. If they don’t perform in games and/ or training , they don’t get picked to play , they don’t develop. That’s the players fault not the club. We got there?

 

Neither , it’s was to give them game time if THEY wanted to develop themselves as a professional footballer. They didn’t perform they didn’t get game time .

 

Scott Banks , Adam Reach we forgot about , other young players all over the field have also done well in the past Cullen, Burke , Pickford . There’s more , but generally strikers are in demand and let’s face it L2 usually are left with slim, very slim pickings. Lowe and Street were fluke exceptions perhaps ?

 

The management staff at Burnley weren't pleased and just for context I am very good friends with the head groundsman at Burnley so I get to know quite a bit from the club.

 

The player needed to perform better. He was cr@p.

His next loans were St Johnstone, Dundee & Accrington. That tells us everything.

At a guess they could say that we've set him back in his development and in return we can suggest that he wasn't at the level we required.

Who even cares? I very much doubt either player will be remembered much in the coming years unless one of them comes back or our paths cross.

Fair point however our business model will have to change and so will Academy funding ? Doubled or trebled perhaps ?

 

I said it earlier but in kavanagh we do have our own player who is miles ahead of any young striker we’ve loaned in recent years

 

Pearson still the only one I keep consistently seeing pop up. Suprised how many city fans don’t seem to know about him given he’s a keighley lad. Lots are just going off what the dog botherers think of him which is mixed opinions. The guys been a solid league 1 level player for years and I’d be pleased with him signing even if some town fans say they won’t miss him

Unfortunately the mega rich boys sweep up 99% of the young talent and then dump them the first chance they get, unless they are super talented
And even if one slips the net and you do pick up a decent future player, there is very little you can do as a lesser club to stop them tapping up such players.
The compensation package put in by the premier league is a joke as well.
