Summer 2025 transfer rumours

Scott Banks was decent but I wouldn’t say standout, similar to Bobby imo but looking at their respective stats Bobby is more prolific.

Liked him, hope he does well just not against us etc.

 

Signing a CB was a smart move. We have 1 or 2 crocks there and tbh I dont think the collective quality is there. Hopefully this kid adds some younger legs and pace.

Im very happy with our 5 forward options. Cook back this week so we have 4 available for a tough period.

 

Could well be. I think he has the skillset to play higher and would probably start at Valley Parade for me but probably more a wide player than what we require. Our crossing comes from the wing backs and he ain't a wing back.

 

It will be interesting to see how McIntyre is used in the squad if he does join, from what has been said on the T&A blog he sounds like he is comfortable on the ball but also likes a tackle. With his deal up at the end of the season at Portsmouth and not wanted at the club it could be a clever signing to effectively give him a 1 year deal (assuming there is no recall clause) at the club then revisit it in the summer if he does well.

 

Dunno. It sounds like he was impressive at Reading then of you go by Pompey fans he's been a train wreck when he plays for them. Went to Charlton and didn't make an impact either, he didn't even make the matchday 18 for their playoffs run.

If he's a backup, fair enough. If he's here to make a difference then it's iffy as its been a good few seasons now since he had a run in a team and actually played well.

Edit: last time McIntyre had a run of start in the first team and looks like he played well, that ended in March 2023. He had a run of 10 starts when he joined Pompey but from the reviews, it sounds like he was a bit of a nightmare part of a nightmare defence, conceding 19 in those 10 (one clean sheet) and just 1 win in 10. He never really got back in the side after and that ended in November 2024.

7pm passed, now we just have to wait to see if it was all signed in time. Hopefully we are just waiting for him to do all of the club media and for the media team to get it ready for release.

 

Tyler Smith has stayed then. Really strange for him, he's obviously never going to play for us again. Can always go to the NL on loan but given he turned down a Barrow return I'd be surprised if he wanted a NL move.
