Kav has created a right place right time vibe. He may still play a role.

Well yeh, injuries or loss of form the only way he finding a place on the bench at the moment. The incoming signing of Powell and the impending return of Cook will only make that harder.

If he was fit at the moment then I dont see where he fits in on the bench...he isnt taking Swans shirt IMO. Maybe argue a case to take Lapslies.

PS - comparing his scoring rate to Boulding and Poleon aint doing him any favours!!!

Yeh dont deny Kav has a role to play...I just think he could potentially be waiting a while. For league games anyway.

Strongly suspect he'd be ahead of Wright if he was fit and he's been involved in every game so far

Competition for places is only a good thing i suppose!

Had to do an overall scoring rate and taking out the EFL trophy scoring rate tbf, that cup has padded out some stats for sure. Like Tyler Smith has factually scored a goal for City every 201 mins he's played, with only Wells, Cook, Mills & Thorne scoring a lot of goals at a better rate for us... but if you take out the EFL trophy, Smiths scoring rate for us drops back down to a goal every 323 mins, which seems way more likely after watching him in league games and a similar scoring rate to Aaron McLean, Lee Angol & Jake Speight.

    To play where? Attacking midfield?

Are we forgetting the spell we saw him playing there off Cook when he was absolutely abysmal? For me he either plays up top or doesn't play at all. He's an emergency choice at best behind a striker.

I would only play him as a centre forward, personally, but GA did use him in the AML role ahead of Wright at every opportunity last season as he likes his pressing

Yes , fair point although the only reason he’s not been involved in league games isn’t just the injury, he wouldn’t get in the front three to start a game , otherwise who would we drop in the Hump, Bobby, Sarce combination. Sub maybe , but unlikely even then to get ahead of Swan?
A great conundrum but we have to be realistic .

Wright has a place on the bench due to his versatility....and with Richards injured and Halliday out of the squad then we have no wing back cover. A bench of Pattison, Lapslie, Kavanagh and Swan makes no sense at all. Chuck in Hilton and Metcalfe then you have room for 1 defender who has to cover wing back and centre back positions.

Not heard his name mentioned for a couple of years, thought he'd left the game tbh.

I wonder if we will revisit speaking to Yannick Wildschut? I'm guessing the opportunity elsewhere didn't materialise. If Touray gets injured we only have square pegs in Tyreik, Neufville & Halliday to play there who aren't naturally left footed.

Imagine the spellings from our fans....

Id take Borini. Purely because he is Italian and played for Liverpool. A pound shop Benito.

He was playing locally to us at one time in Braintree and other Essex clubs when Watford sent him out on loan . I think that where Posh first took notice . Another of Fry’s speculative pickups ( They paid a lot for him if I recall) sold by Posh for about £7million plus add ons .

    But Wright can't defend
I honestly thought Threlkeld had retired.Surprised to see Adam Reach still on that list.
