I think with Noah age caught him up, with the Academy teams he was big for his age group and with his reading of the game he was outstanding, during the two years of his Scholarship and the one year professional Contract other young players caught up with his physical attributes and he found the going more difficult . Added to this I also suspect that his Commitment to Bradford City was not 100%.

That being said on his departure from Bradford City he walked into Hull City under 21 programme and did enough to be offered a further year extension for 25/26 season.

 

Was speaking to a guy who's son is a professional footballer about this, perceived talent doesn't always guarantee a successful career. A lot of lads his lad came through the ranks with were projected to make it higher up the ladder based on their youth career but some never even reached first team level. It's a cutthroat business football, a hard work ethic is imperative but the guy said the biggest factor at lower level was luck, being in the right place at the right time and having a manager who believes in you when others differ in their opinion. A lot of stars have to align to make it in professional football, not just talent.

 

He signed a 2 year deal with a year option for an extra year last year so we've effectively triggered that year and added another year option at the end.
For me this is the right balance of rewarding form, protecting the club and keeping him hungry.

 

At the risk of using the word that makes many people recoil in fear - they like forwards with a bit of presence. A lot of their game is based on physicality at the front and back. Never very easy on the eye.

 

Was it Revell who managed Stevenage when he brought them to VP playing a ridiculous 2-2-2-2-2 formation.?That’s how their fans described it at the time . We battered them and he got the sack shortly after.

He’s a been nothing but a non league journeyman down South on loan from Gillingham , hardly scores goals, in fact 10 in his entire career. Someone must see something?

21 years old, 13 appearances in league 2 three years ago and 3 appearances in the League Trophy 2 years ago. This would be a very underwhelming signing if it came off.

Kinda proves my point on my earlier post. At Liverpool since seven, now twenty one and a free agent. I remember the big fanfare when we signed Joe Riley from Manchester United, now at Tamworth. At 21, barring a few exceptions, if you haven't got yourself some half decent game time you're in danger of missing the boat.

 

They were set to sign Tovide from Colchester but it fell through all the last minute.

 

It would have been nice if the level of journalism was good enough to explain what was meant by this sentence

Personally I'd rather we signed this guy who can play a 6 or an 8 and has full EFL experience, with so much more potential.
