Where did you hear the rumour from? If Fat Alan has the scoop then its his Agent feeding him the information. How else would he know? Mate at work? Unlikely he goes fishing or has any interest in our deals. Its fed to him......Agent work at play. Chasing an extra few quid on a new contract for his client imo.

 

If there's genuine interest from higher and he wants to go for it good luck to him, but it is just as likely like you say that it's agent talk to try and get him more than we are currently offering.

Turns out Nixon's exclusive on us is that we're keen on a Shepherd return. Not sure where he's plucked that one from, seems like a bit of a wild guess to me....

From what I hear if we can sort out a deal with Barnsley Shephard will be offered a 3 year deal.

 

Shepherd wants the move Barnsley wanting relatively daft fee for someone they've barely ever played. The grapevine also mentioned Kyle Knoyle is on the target list as is Fraser Horsfall but because of their play off campaign there's no movement yet

 

Doesn't surprise really, Shepherd holds the cards on this one. He wants a 3 year deal, then he gets one.

 

Kyle Knoyle been in and out of the team this season, so if he is looking for a deal then back up/competition to Halliday makes sense. Horsfall has been their captain and started when fit, (missed a couple of months with a knock and they missed him), good, big commanding CB, remember him from Northampton days wishing we had snared him then. That would be a very decent coup. He is from Huddersfield, so potentially a Town fan - wouldnt surprise me if he ended up there though.

Guessing Sarcevic will be playing a part in these deals.

 

I saw it on F365 forum yesterday morning, but looking at it, Lower Tiers website published their article before the guy protest the rumour on there. So I'm guessing that lad is just reposting their article without tagging them.

He's from Halifax ain't he? But yeah apparently Town have made him a priority and he was there as a kid. Also Knoyle can play either side effectively.

 

Interesting about knoyle my 13 year old brought up his name last week. His mate at school follows Stockport and said we were interested but I took it as a pinch of salt

 

Says born in Huddersfield on his wiki, so maybe grew up in Halifax. Yeh there as a kid, if from the area, him or family are likely fans. Unfinished business there.....writes itself. I can see Town been in for him and Fraser ending up there if the numbers are right.

 

Horsfall would be a cracking signing if we were interested and could pull that off.

A bit of a commanding unit, which we lack with experience.

Also decent goalscoring record for a centre back.
