Peterborough spent another "substantial six figure fee" on a defender from Walsall today. Apparently it's taken their spending over the £2.5m mark so far this summer, although most fees aren't confirmed.

 

The problem for him and most goalkeepers at this time of the year is probably that most clubs are sorted for a keeper so there's not many openings unless he wants to drop down a level or be a backup. Looking around league 1 the only club that could be an option is Plymouth as their first choice is out with a knee injury and he's touch and go to be ready for the start of the season

 

The Walsall forum about him is worth a read …He’s number 26 for them in our home win 3-0. Fish out of water tbh.

Big lad and still young enough to learn though.

 

There seems to be strong rumours that there will be another £1m transfer for a striker in this division with Plymouth close to buying Rumarn Burrell for £1m.

It does show where transfer fees are these days that a very good season in Scottish League 1 and a good season in league 1 can make you a million pound player.

Tbf he has been available on a free since late April. Had nearly 3 months to find a club.

 

Terrible signing for me, watched him last season and he was average at best. I guess its MacAnthony's money to waste on whatever he wants.

 

That’s being generous RT. Many Walsall fans are rubbing their hands . Clearly Posh have a good record but initially this appears odd.

 

A grand total of 10 minutes in the 2nd half of the 20/21 season and very quickly lost his place in the squad when we brought in Danny Rowe and Andy Cook within 2 weeks of him joining so he ended up 4th choice striker when we were playing 1 up front.

 

Watched a fair bit of Ipswich over the last few years and Ladapo would be a rotten signing. His languid, lazy style is the opposite of what GA usually wants, so can't see it happening.

Massimo Luongo is still without a club. Could fill the Smallwood role, is decent enough on the ball and won't be asking for a fortune. Think Millwall are after him, so probably as likely as us getting Josh Windass, but this is the talking bollox thread...

 

It’s a premier league club who’s going on tour shortly that one of the loans is from? Narrows it down abit to probs 15 haha few already away.

Bournemouth, West Ham, Manchester United and Everton play in an American Tournament starting this weekend.
I still think it's the lad who was on loan at Chesterfield last season from Everton.Jenson Metcalfe a midfielder.

GA in the T&A this morning saying one of the loans is from a club that are about to go away on another tour. That should narrow it down a bit further.
